Hi, I just recently started to take antidepressant (SSRI) and I was wondering if it could make nofap easier or worse ? I have to say that when I fap I usually do it for very long time (many hours) and I stop simply because I accidently orgasm or if I'm just getting to tired and I have to stop. I never liked orgasms and sometime wish that I could just fap forever because it's an escape mechanism for me. Well, what I'm afraid of is that I read that this drugs can prevent your from having orgasm not being able to end the session can be really destructive for me.
"I was wondering if it could make nofap easier or worse?" It will not make any change. SSRI will change your mood. if you are not depressed it would be better to change your way. I took it for a year and I will never come back to it.
I actually replied to this thread earlier about my experience on an SSRI antidepressant not so long ago. https://forum.nofap.com/index.php?t...-someone-with-experience.329569/#post-3311847 I can't say everyone on an SSRI will have the same experience as me. I also don't know if I would recommend intentionally trying many different antidepressants until you find the one that causes you the worst sexual side effects. Because I have been on different SSRI's in the past, and even though they all caused me sexual side effects, they weren't any where near as severe as the sexual side effects I experienced on the last SSRI I was on. But everyone is different.
I'm severly depressed. But I read in many place that it can lower your sex drive, so it could make it easier.
Just to say in general, for anyone who meditates or has a mindfulness practice you could make a meds meditation to observe closely the effect it has on your mind. Obviously this takes more time or you have to know roughly how long it takes to kick in but could be interesting.
