    Hello all

Note: English is my second language. Sorry if I don't make sense

I have a weird problem/habit. So like most I started masturbating when I was 13 (I'm 20 now) and unlike most I did it not with my hands but by humping the bed. Sadly, that habit is still around to this day and I think it is a major reason why I cannot quit PMO, since you're not required to take your ***** out, although I masturbate in the normal way during binges. Sometimes I am woken up in the middle of my sleep with fantasies that are suddenly so compelling, and I MO by humping the bed (sad and pathetic I know). Can anyone help with this or is anyone familiar with this? should I just sleep on a rock from now on, seeing as rocks aren't the softest materials? I even changed the blanket and pillow to more rigid ones. Also even if you are not familiar with this, does anyone else somehow rub his ***** against the bed they're sleeping on? how do you prevent or respond to this? I would appreciate your help, because I have been trying to get PMO out of my life for 10 months and this disgusting habit is a major setback to why I can't. Otherwise my self discipline towards porn and normal masturbation is very good. The only hell for me is the bed I sleep in.

  2. Hi! Well, I have done it a few times when trying to quit PMO. I think you have to threat it pretty much the same way. You have to develop strategies which makes it harder to stick to Your habit. Im sorry that I cant give you any solid advice, but try to find Your triggers and start working at a strategy to ultimately get rid of this habit.

    Thanks for your reply!

I guess I have to devise strategies and take control. But the problem is, the strategies that work for making it harder to PMO in the regular way don't work for this habit of mine. For instance; getting out of my room to social situations or just somewhere where there are people around so you wouldn't watch porn or MO. However, alot of times it's been at midnight where no one's awake. And another issue is that the urges come when I'm not in a very rational mode (When I'm almost asleep or in the middle of my sleep). I've even thought about making myself addicted to the normal way of MOing so I would replace this addiction with another and then get rid of the second one. I just need a proven way of dealing with this. Just hearing that someone else has gotten rid of this will help

I didn't discover masturbation 'til I was older; another boy was caught masturbating at school; I heard about it because I heard how shocked and horrified people were (or pretended to be). I saw someone mimic the hand gesturea and wend home to try that, and it was "off to the races" as is said in America.

Up till that time, as a boy, I had a habit of climbing over garden walls and back fences with a gang of kids who played together after school. I would lean against the wall and it would "feel so good that I wet my pants." I did it so hard and so often that I had nightmares I would damage myself. I never told anyone, and started doing my own laundry so no one would notice the "pee".

I would reccomend sleeping in pajamas. You might try sleeping on a towel. That way if you try to roll over and hump the bed, it will slide and wrinkle around and generally frustrate you--hopefully waking you up enough for your rational mind to take back control from your body.

If you have a nightly episode of "bed-humping," you might try drinking a glass of water before bed and repeat to yourself "I will not pleasure myself in bed tonight." You may have to pee when you wake up. This might, just MIGHT get you out of bed and prevent you from giving in while you are semi-awake.

I suspect you are doing this in what in English-speaking science is called a 'hypnogogic state.' It is on the border between sleeping and full consciousness. It is the state where, if you dream that someone throws a ball at you, you will jump in your bed to dodge it with your physical body. If so, it is the same state that people experience "sleepwalking". It could probably be treated by the same therapies for that disorder. Hope something here helps

    All the best.

Thanks St Pachomius! I am familiar with the hypnogogic state and it might be just that. Perhaps I need such affirmations because this has more to do with programming my mind rather than controlling myself through sheer willpower.
The towel suggestion is similar to one of my ways which is wearing something under my pajamas to make humping the bed much less pleasurable. I have tried this by wearing an old wallet ( weird I know :/ ) and I have always needed to remove it before I could MO. Perhaps in the first two or three weeks I'll just keep trying this and focus on making whatever object I wear stay where it is.

Thank you. The towel suggestion makes me confident that my wallet technique is actually a thing. I didn't think I would get help here but it seems fapstronauts' positive attitude will always surprise you. If I can help with anything let me know

Cilice is a garment worn with the intention of making the wearer physically unocomfortable. It was orignally an undershirt or underwear made of sackloth, designed to keep the person in a penitent frame of mind. I suspect its more direct use may have been to prevent self-stimulation via friction

I just saw some pictures on google. But wouldn't it be going too far to wear that? because I don't think I'd be able to sleep! I think Cilice would work in other circumstances, for example if you are somewhere full of beautiful women and you have a girlfriend so you wear one before you head to that place knowing that you might be tempted later on.
Did you consciously stop the wall rubbing habit? or was it replaced by masturbating with your hands?

I replaced it with hands. That bit of "sex education" definitely put the idea into my head.

A agree that Cilice is too much for sleepwear, if taken to the extreme; the over-the-top examples are what gets posted online, of course--another example of media distortion of a more complex idea. The degree of discomfort depends largely on the material. You can read about practitioners using nets and weaving sticks and thorns into them! On the other hand, there were hair shirts, wool shirts, an some that were nothing more than loose-weave canvas. The last one would not be scratchy, but vigorous rubbing would be irritating. A terry-cloth towel might work just as well. I could even imagine an apron made of soft canvas, that would be comfortable enough unless you did repetitive motion.

Of course, distorted facts are the ones that overwhelm the real facts in the service of further oversexualizing an already oversexualized culture! I do not even live in the western part of the world but because internet is global and because the world is lead by the western half in terms of culture, the obsession with sexuality is prominent in where I live too.
I don't think I would be able to have any of those material :/ I can't imagine how I can buy them and have them seen by my family. Last night I wore the wallet again and a sort of belt and it worked.
