Beer and nofap

    Hi y'all, I am almost at my 90 day milestone and have a question. A few nights ago I was able to get very hard with my wife, but the following 2 nights, I could hardly get hard at all. The only difference was that I had 3 beers each of the not-hard nights. I'm not talking about being drunk, just consuming some beer. Is it suggested to abstain from alcohol completely during recovery? All I've read is that it is a risk for relapse into PMO. I'm not concerned about that, just curious if it is contributing to the ED issue. Thanks!

    Sure, alcohol is well known to fade boundaries. Many smokers trying to quit will tell you that they relapsed into smoking after drinking alcohol. Personally, alcohol hasn't made me relapse, but I guess it could.

    Alcohol is also very well known to cause ED. No surprise there. :)

    Giving up alcohol could be an extra stress factor so if it doesn't give you too much issues I wouldn't quit it. Just drink in moderation?

    I have a similar problem with alcohol but probably for completely different reasons than you. For a long time I've tried to have sex drunk before starting nofap, and of course with the combo of PIED and alcohol I have never been able to get hard drunk. Now I think it's all mental, if I drink even a little bit I start to over think things and can't get hard. In general alcohol does effect some people negatively where it makes it difficult to get hard so I don't think it's that unnatural.
