i spent a long time swimming and lifting weights but my weight never shifted. it comes down to diet, and then exercise diet is really 80% of it. i hate that, as i am still a takeaway fiend. but when i went sugar free and cut out a lot of crap, i lost weight - 7kgs over 4 months (slow and stable) it helped my motivation, and i felt lighter day on day mentally i find for exericse - weightlifting and HIIT exercises work, but ideally find something fun also
Basketball because it's constant running and jogging and jumping that's basically a HIIT work out in and of itself
You can't outexercise a bad diet. I'd look into nutrition. Documentaries like these might be a starting point (Netflix): Forks Over Knives Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead
