Can forum use (including NOFAP) be part of the problem?

Something that worries me about this (and any) forum. In severe cases of fappers who are chronic Internet addicts, use of Internet forums themselves (i.e. NOFAP!) will create the dopamine spike that gets us on the path to relapse.

Spending an hour browsing this forum, clicking, seeking novelty, feeling anxiety sometimes when I read triggering/unrecovered posts, and working myself into a dopamine stupor in front of my screen, gets me on the path towards relapse.

For me I believe that forum use is part of the problem. Journalling online is useful, but then again so is having a closed and coherent inner voice, developing boundaries, and not over-sharing. So maybe pen and paper and keeping it to yourself would be better. Dip into NOFAP to learn all you need about recovery, but then leave it alone. Maybe reading a recovery or enlightening book (e.g. Patrick Carnes, The Power of Now) would be even more useful as there is no dopamine risk while reading.

Any thoughts on this? Perhaps you find the value of group support give you such a great benefit and brings you out of isolation, so it's worth the risk? I just worry that anything that keeps me dependent on the Internet is keeping me closer to my laptop and closer to acting out, even if it's spending time on a recovery forum, because it's keeping my brain dosed up on dopamine.
