Can't understand why I'm still struggling with PIED?!

    Hi all.

    I've been on these forums for about 4 years now, and I've had mixed success with nofap.

    I had a year long streak around a year and a half ago that led me to having good erections and some morning wood again.

    Since then I've had mild to severe PIED and now I'm back struggling with my erections more than ever.

    I no longer get morning wood again and can't get it up with or without porn.

    Since the year and a half I've had some long streaks, some short, have edged to porn and had some sex.

    Everytime I watch porn it seems to really throw me back by miles. What am I doing wrong?

    If feel I'm an extremely severe case despite not escalating my porn use

    Flip these two statements around and you have your answer.

    Escalation isn't all that important IMO, it's the volume of it that probably got you to this point. Your brain simply can't handle that level of stimulation anymore so you've just got to stay away from it - tough to do I know.

    Another thing is, "porn" encompasses anything that you find artificially arousing. Just looking at pics of attractive women is going to have a similar effect so social media and dating apps(even if your intentions are genuine) really need to be avoided as well - or at least until you've had a very long time away from it all.

    @Gavalar09 , when did your erections and morning wood return during your first streak, a year long streak around a year and a half ago?
