Day 11: I found a girlfriend and started NoFap

Discussion in 'Rebooting in a Relationship' started by Zyzz Shavershian Fitness, Jan 17, 2023.

  1. I knew what I should do to not lose her but at day 8 we tried to had sex and my penis didn't get an erection. That was very dissapointing. Luckily she was supportive of my journey and I told her my story about porn addiction. And I did satisfy her without my penis. Basically maybe you have some tips to fix my erectile dysfunction not only with NoFap or should I just go the doctor and get it fixed?

If your erectile dysfunction was caused by PMO in the first place, then you may try to go hard mode (i.e. no P/M/O) for a few months and see how it goes. You may need to talk to your girlfriend in this case, as you will not be having sex with her for a while. On top of that, try to adopt a healthy lifestyle, which further speeds up the recovery.

Personally, I don't recommend focusing too much on recovery of sexual function while going NoFap, as this will only cause you wanting to "test" it all the time (hence falling back into the PMO trap again). You will recover naturally when you focus on living a better life in general.

In addition, if possible, it would be the best if you save this precious sexual energy after marriage. This would be good for your kids (if any) in the future. :)

  3. Well I exercise a lot and eat healthy. I switched from smoking to vaping. So my health is good. I don't know what causes it. I can survive without sex for a few months before I will go crazy but I don't think my girlfriend would handle it without sex. Of course you can have sex without penis but it is still a problem that only NoFap cannot fix and I should go and see a doctor.

Quitting porn and masturbation entirely should improve or eliminate your erectile dysfunction. If it doesn’t, then go see a doctor.

To quit porn and masturbation completely requires a major shift in your life daily life, how you approach stress, how you seek comfort and relief, what you do to to pass your days and your goals in life.

How long have you been using porn and masturbation in unhealthy ways? How frequent and for how long did you use it during those sessions?

  5. I started when I was very young around like 8-9 years old until now. I did fap a lot, sometimes all day non stop. I did try to quit it before had some long streaks but I always ended up back. But this time I have fire in my soul and I will quit it forever.

I understand premarital sex is very common nowadays. However, I have to be honest here, that a long-lasting relationship depends mostly on responsibility, not sex. The excitement and euphoria will not last for long before they fade. In addition, very often, sex before marriage leads to many problems, including accidental pregnancy (and hence there may be the need of abortion, which could be really bad for the girl) and health impairment of your kids in the future (as mentioned previously).

This may not be what you want to hear, but I truly hope you will consider my words.

Quit it forever and make living your best life an everyday focus for you. It takes that level of commitment to recover from using PMO that long.
