I noticed today that since I have started battling PMO addiction (and made progress it has to be said) I have at the same time started PC gaming and binge TV watching more (alone) and also eating more junk food. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar effects since starting to fight PMO? It is as if a sort of replacement mechanism has swooped in - like dropping the porn/masturbation itself doesn't fix the root problem as other things rush in to fill the space it was taking in your life - does it show I was using porn as a cover up for loneliness/problem avoidance/to avoid real life?! If you have any thoughts/ideas from your own experience I would love to hear from you, thanks.
I have noticed this too. I'm only on 8 days right now but in the past when I have reached the 2 week mark I find myself either playing loads more video games or watching T.V. programs back to back. I feel like it's the void energy being filled with the next easiest thing. I believe the key here is to try to replace this void with good habits and activities that make you a better person in general. Maybe activities such as reading inspirational literature or watching documentaries instead of T.V. Something like that may work to further enforce your motivation towards your original goal and anything learnt in the process is just a bonus. Keep fighting the good fight man! Peace !
