Why does it matter what other people think? If they're willing to judge you for such an asinine reason, to choose to not use a smartphone or at least to refuse to allow yourself to become addicted to it and get into using social media (which I personally think is a sign of integrity doing either of those things), then simply put, fuck them.

To judge the contents of your character based on you being a better person than they are says more about them than it does about you.

Yeah, in my opinion, low-lives do this.

 

I think you are doing it right and for the right reasons. I would like to ditch my smartphone myself and go back to a feature phone but currently I can't because my wife is too far away and we communicate through Whatsapp, it would be too expensive to call her otherwise.
When this situation changes, I will definitely reconsider calmy what the benefits of smartphones are and eventually go back. Because the drawbacks are amazing, it is pathetic to be glued to a phone and not even see then environment that surrounds us.

Did you know that those tech guys from silicon valley pay close attention to how they use social media and smartphones? That they limit smartphone and social media access to their children? Bill Gates, those guys from Facebook and Google? They all send their children to schools where there is no new technology and the children can play with wooden toys. If those guys who invented this stuff, pay so much attention to limiting it, it means that they know exactly that it is doing no good to people.

 

The truth is people have become addict to their phone so they say it's weird. Spending 8hours a day on those fucking social media is weird. The need they have to post on instagram just so they can feel good about themself. Their selfesteem depend on much like they get.

Listen bro, as long as it keeps you away from P it is not weird. I would just like to remember you something there is no such thing as a normal human being. We are all unique.

By the way girls on snapchat doesn't seems like she is really mature or stuff like that. I don't to criticize but the more people use social media the less i consider them intellectual. I mean that's pretty much the truth. Have you ever seen a genius using Snapchat? However there are lot out there.

 

Don't know if this has already been said, but...

20 years ago people staring at some tiny screen in their hand and not talking to people personally anymore would have been considered weird.
