New on here so forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this. Mentioned on the intro page that I'm on here having had an issue from my early teens until now (mid 40s) and having had some health issues including "you're always tired".

One of my other hobbies is kung fu and I've been reading stuff over the years about Taoist internal energy stuff. Thought this page was interesting.

So even if this has been outdated by "modern science" (which to be honest as a scientist (or at least in those areas) I'm not sure they know much in this area fundamentally) there may be still some truth in this.

But on here essentially it is saying that the male orgasm reduces the amount of energy being generated and available for men and leads to shortened lives.

It's always been a fall back if unable to sleep to have a quick shuffle, but perhaps long term use could be fundamentally an issue and has been known to be an issue for thousands of years. Interestingly I think if the orgasm is during sex then there are some energy benefits..

Yep, I'm pretty much scr*wed, because lack of energy is my main problem.

This website is perhaps the only place that the question could be asked and an honest reply received to try to understand the link between excessive masturbation and energy levels. If you went to a doctor and they asked the question it would get more lies than "how much do you drink per week"...

I truly believe modern lifestyle is not the life our bodies were designed to live. That's the main problem. Dr. Stephen Ilardi wrote:"We were never designed for the sedentary, indoor, socially isolated, fast-food-laden, sleep-deprived, frenzied pace of modern life." Cortisol and adrenaline have been two life saving hormones in fight or flight situations during our evolution, but if these two hormones are not "burned" in action following real life dangerous event, they wreak havoc on the body. Modern life "offers" plenty of stressful events that our bodies interpret as life threatening (stress in the traffic, job stressor, financial problems...), releasing cortisol and adrenalin (this subsequently also lowers dopamine and serotonine levels) but no follow up flight or flight action to "burn" these stress/action hormones. Add to that excessive compulsive MB which depletes our bodies of essential minerals and you get recipe for disaster. That's one of the reasons I've decided to not just stop PMO but also MO for good and do 1-2 hours of aerobic exercise daily to burn cortisol/adrenaline. All I can say is that my energy levels are way higher then they were 10 moths ago when I started with hardmode/monkmode and mentioned exercise routine. I still have plenty of room to improve on my sleep and diet, but improvements are already here. I went from a guy who was chronically fatigue to a guy who can train for 2-3 hours a day without burning out.

Yes orgasm = loss of life force. Repeated Pmo without the body rebuilding and restoring will eventually lead to burn out..also known as adrenal fatigue. Throw in all the alcoholism, caffeine addiction, smoking, poor diet and lack of exercise and quality sleep and you are bound to suffer from chronic fatigue. All I can say is I no longer drink alcohol, smoke anything, excercise daily and force myself to sleep in and I'm very slowly healing. It's amazing people think I look younger than my age, 36 with how exhausted I've previously been. I have a friend I went to high school with that still drinks and parties like a fish and eats poorly and doesnt even excercise and admits to PMOing several times a week and he looks like he could pass for his late 40s. Hes 100% bald, frail, has black moons under his eyes and looks like lifes luster has been sucked from his soul. I mention him because hes my motivation to stay clean, sober, healthy and fit. Lol.. not real nice to talk poorly of him, but I refuse to look or feel like he does. He drinks a ton of caffeine and alcohol and it's just sad. He will probably be dead in his 50s. Bottom line: you cannot mistreat and wear down the body and mind and live a long life. Many, many health problems will arise and living sickly is something I refuse to do!
