In a " Flatline " for 20 months with no end in sight. Did you experience the " Flatline " ?
Congratulations on 500+ days and how are you doing nowadays. Did you recover fully and will no longer visit the forum. I would request you to create a summary of your PMO history from starting PMO to ending it like one Chinese Fapstronaut made a book 6 years clean: rebooting as the best remedy
hi! i came across your post somewhere and then read some of your other posts. i really like the thoughts you're sharing. you seem to be a very mature human being and willing to help others. it's always so nice to come across people like you. hope you're doing okay
Thank you. I'm glad you find my comments useful.
Same, regarding monk mode- loved on of your posts!
Hey Fenix, sorry if I asked you that question before but can you tell me how I can learn more about Taoism (books, resources)? I'd really like to get into that and I think I saw you mention Taoism several times.
The main book of Taoism is Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching (Tao de Jing), you can find it on the net for free. I also like dr. Wayne Dyer's interpretation of the original text, which can be sometimes hard to understand, "Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao".
It seems there are now two phoenixes rising
Plenty of room for both of us :)
Also are you fully recovered physically and emotionally by abstention, exercise and meditaton plz tell.. or is something still left for recovery. But you have done great.
I've just posted a comment about in "It takes 35.6 weeks of abstinence to cure your brain" tread. It's too long to post it here, but you can find it in rebooting section of the forum.
Congratulations on 400 days brother... Following you will definitely try to reach at least 25% of yours current achievement that is 100 days
congrats bro for reaching 400 days in couple of days ..... can u teel me about your improvement in social anxiety and self conciousness area.... I have been following u since long... &in how many month you got improvement ( if any u got)
Thanks. Question about social anxiety is hard to answer because it's not a constant problem anymore. I still get anxious when in company with other ppl from time to time, but not to an extend I'd avoid socializing. I also don't contribute to abstention alone but more to regular exercise, meditation and different view on life in general.
Hello Fenix Rising. Brother, I have been reading so many of your posts and I am greatly impressed by you. I just want your help with my problems. Will you please read the 'Information ' Tab on my profile page where I have declared all my problems. The passage is long but I will request you to please completely read it and please help me.
Congratulations on 315 days, Fenix Rising! 315 days!!! Wow! You're an inspiration to people like us on the forums!!!
Thank you. I try to stay vigilant and humble. Someone said that day has 24 hours for all of us, no matter if you're 1 day, 1 month, 1 year or 10 years free of addiction. Let's keep fighting the good fight.
Sir I read your post.
Now, where do you find meaning? What creates motivation? Has anything filled the void?
Thank you for your post.
This is a difficult question. I'd say I'm still searching. The closest I've come is to adopt stoicism (Seneca, Marcus Aurelius) and Taoism (Lao Tzu -Tao the Jing) in the way I look at things. I believe they both offer some universal truths on how one should look at and live life to find the balance and inner peace.
I'll look into our friends. Marcus Aurelius and Stoicism have come up a lot for me recently. so thank you for this.
Any progress in the brain fog department?
Yes, it's gone.
keep strong ! pmo pain pill sucks life!
Congrats for the awesome streak sir.
After how much days you feel better, more healthy, more self-contained?
I mean, after how many days you can say you have no problems and it's easier to win fantasies and temptation to watch p and m.
I was in flatline most of my current recovery, so I had only occasional problems with porn craving. By cravings I mean that I found myself on P related porn sites without thinking. It was like acting in autopilot mode. This stopped to happen around 3-4 months into my recovery. I don't know exactly, I'd have to look back in my journal.
Right now I'm at the stage where P or M just don't attract me anymore and my interest in searching for real life relationship is growing. But I'm still not OK. I feel like I removed a blister (PMO) from a wounds to the what's wrong, but still need much work on healing the wounds part of recovery.
i used to blame pmo for everything . After a long streak i saw the real problems are else related . I needed to grow up ! Unfortunately i struggle lately!
Hi, I did not watch any TV for more than six years, which was a streak that started just before I turned twenty. It is doable but I found it useful to read a lot of novels. Maybe try self hypnosis if you want to strengthen your willpower? If you make reading a habit for your entertainment, you need the internet less. It is still important to get face to face interaction though. Hope this is of some use.
