Hello guys they are now more than thirty days now I feel very depressed, I struggle to go to work, I always feel very tired, if any of you have any advice to make the best of this period thank you all!
Hi Alex_88, I've just landed on this forum precisely because I feel the same now. I have a ton of work to do but I feel so tired and depressed to start. I've been falling off the nofap wagon a lot lately but this time I want to stay clean for at least two weeks. I'm on day 3 now. When the moments of paralysis/depression come I try not to resist them but try to flow with them until I'm in the clear. That's why I came here. Wanted to see how others are doing, share some words of encouragement and read some success stories. The hardest part is avoiding triggers. I'm sure your depression will go away soon. You are at 33 days from what I see on your counter. SOme guys report stuff like this happens .
HELLO XWIN FIRST OF ALL THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER I THINK THAT IS A STATE OF ANIMENT VERY DIFFICULT TO MANAGE. YOU HAVE MADE WELL TO REGISTER ON THIS FORUM BECAUSE YOU CAN SHARE THE STATE OF ANIMAL THAT EVERYONE OF US HAS IN THE RECOVERY OF THIS DEPENDENCE IF YOU NEED EVERYTHING TO DO UNACHIACCHERED DO NOT HESITATE TO WRITE ME AND THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Thanks man, I appreciate this. Seems like the struggle never ends but the least we can do is take it one day at a time. Knowing that many people share this burden is already a different way to look at this. I am learning to approach this with a cooler head lately - I've been angry and disappointed with myself all those years. Be strong. 33 days for a guy like me is a goal to aspire to.
Hey guys, stay strong you are not alone. I’m on day 5 with heavy withdrawals and depression I feel sick. It’s like other drugs I’ve kicked very terrible struggle. I’ve been pmo for twenty years but am father now and married I need to do this for my health and life for I self sabotage and seem like I will never achieve what I want even in my late thirties
FLATLINE Your brain is only rewarding you when you see porn and that's what we have trained our brain by watching porn. So now you have left that drug and your brain was already not rewarding you in day to day activities. So rewiring will take time and that's why you feel like this for some time.
I'm around 30days too and I feel like this too. Its hard but you need to force you self to be social or just do stuff. That's what I'm trying to do now
Hey man first of all congratulations on the 30 days you are well on your way. My thoughts on this is you are giving up a long time habit here, Your brain has been used to getting its dopamine hits through your pmo (and the one you get from o is right up there with that of the most addictive drugs) its in with drawl and the only thing that will fix it is time and replacing all that pmo with other more healthy rewards. Your brain will reward you if you take up a sport, do some reading or make time for friends. At first it will feel like a real struggle to motivate your self but you have to show your brain there is more to life than pmo and these things are ultimatily better for both you!
