Having a hard time?

    Try separating the porn from the act of masturbating. The next time you feel the urges, or even the next time you look at porn (I'm not encouraging it), excuse yourself to the bathroom and masturbate like a normal person. I'm not recommending this to people that are on a streak. I'm recommending this to people who are just starting.

    After that, begin to pay attention to the sorts of thoughts you're having when you masturbate, and decide what you would like to throw away and what you would like to keep.

    Then make your one day, one week, one month and one year goals.

    ...For me personally, going to the extreme and just turning off the switch does not help. I need to see and experience that masturbation and my sexual urges are normal. I don't feel so much shame when I masturbate in a private place like the bathroom and have somewhat wholesome thoughts. It is the porn and fantasies that distort things. They are what I'm most addicted to.
