First off, Just because you and a handful of scholars do not believe that the Bible isn't clear on it's existence does not mean that it isn't clear. It only means that their are men who pervert the Gospel. It is absolutely crucial to keep that in mind when discussing sufficiency of scripture and what not.

We were indeed promised eternal life(life that lasts forever). and those who blaspheme and reject God are promised "eternal punishment"(punishment that lasts forever) as is clear in Matthew 25:46. The defense you gave against this is essentially that eternal doesn't actually mean eternal as is literally interpreted. the word used here for "eternal" is "aiónios". It means age-long, and therefore: practically eternal, unending; partaking of the character of that which lasts for an age, as contrasted with that which is brief and fleeting. the word is used to describe damnation AS WELL AS OUR SALVATION. If damnation is not everlasting and truly eternal because the word used COULD be seen as otherwise as you suggest, then is the same true for our salvation? Remember, the exact same term is used to describe both ETERNAL life, and ETERNAL damnation IN THE SAME SENTENCE.
Back to Revelation 14. Verse 11 states that "the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name". The forever and ever part really seems to be a clear indication of ETERNITY.
As for Luke 12:58-59, This has nothing to do with damnation. It is about earthly disputes with neighbors. Paying the last penny has nothing to do with paying for sin in the next life. In Roman law, the plaintiff could bring the accused along with him to the judge; the defendant could however, settle the matter on any terms with the plaintiff as they proceeded to the tribunal. However once they reached the tribunal the issue would be settled according to law. Jesus is encouraging people to settle their differences before it reaches the judge(Blue Letter Bible).

  2. Well, this is quite hurtful. What do you mean that I pervert the Gospel? You mean the God's Message or the Holy text? You shouldn't say that someone is perverting the Gospel just because he doesn't agree with you, that's unnecessary and hurtful. Couldn't you just defend your case better? Gospel is my life, it's my only hope. How could you say that?

I believe in punishment that lasts forever. Don't you see that? What I don't believe is torment that lasts forever. Even when there is the same word used there's just no need for symmetry, like there is just no symmetry between Good and Evil. They are oppose yet not equal, not at all. I could say that the apple on the tree will mature in its time and that this boy will mature in his time. I am using the same word in one sentence, yet the meaning is different. And here is as well. The perfection of life is eternity, and perfection of death is non-existence.

Regarding you interpretation of passage from Luke, yes that is obviously first layer of the text, but do you think that it is all? (What mean Blue Letter Bible?) If it is, than what would you say about similar expression from Mt 18:34?

And what about other passages I've mentioned?

Sorry it's been a few days, I've been busy. I wish not to simply sling mud at you because you don't see something as I do. My goal is to point out that Hell's torment is indeed forever. As a follower I believe that it is my duty to redirect brothers and sisters from error, and I see what you teach of Hell and see it as error. I point back to what I see to be the clearest indication, of which I have not heard a response to. "And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus"(Revelations 14:11-12). I am adamant that God is abundantly clear. I understand that in reading the text that I wrote that I could have come off as just angry and boisterous(I guess in a sense I am boisterous). I don't have much time to adress all the verses that you pointed to(and I PROMISE that I will if I can), but right know on a pretty tight time table.

  4. hell is eternal torment from a eternal God
    Mark 9:47
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
