First of all sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

I am male 21 yrs old. I have been around this forum for a couple of months but never made account probably because i thought i can conqueer my addiction without it.

For these couple months i had relapsed many times, my longest streak was 27 days, and had a lot of 10-15 days streak but always returning to PMO. My current streak is 21 days and i don't want to mess this one up. I am tired of relapsing, than feeling bad for myself .. you know the procedure. I am also tired of reseting counters. I have one on my phone, one on my lap top, and one on my pc, and now 4th on this forum. I am kinda shy and i didn't tell anyone about my addiction. I got into various fetishes. I also have performance anxiety so i know PMO won't really help with that :D. I thought this addiction would be easier to conquer but its actually not that easy.

    That's it for now i guess :p

  2. Hey @Artic96

    Very glad you came back.

When I arrived here, I was very confused by the program. So many terms, ideas, different opinions. I was in some ways as overwhelmed with NoFap as I was with pmo.

I found two things that helped me.

First, was reading up on the program and figuring out where to start and how to work my program. The best page is the one with the list of all the resources available.

    https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?threads/new-users-list-of-rebooting-resources.50878/

That page explained the program. I read every article and watched all the videos on that page.

Next, was the community. By getting involved, reading people's posts, remembering to "like" the posts, reading the post not only in the forum, but on people's profiles, I found a great group of people.

This is a diverse community. We have religious people and secular ones. There are men and women. People with months of no pmo and those just starting out. As well, there are many different approaches to remove porn from our lives forever.

Keep reading posts and profiles. You will find someone who is telling your own story. Keep posting your own story, someone needs to read it.

Looking forward to reading many more posts from you,

    L

  5. Hi
Glad you are here. And very welcome to join us in our journey to a healthy, fulfilling life without any self harming habits.

It's a safe place here. We all are in the same boat, so there is no single space for judgement here.
Maybe it's a good idea to keep a journal. Sharing your struggles, thoughts and feelings may help you to understand the underlying issues.

Keep coming back and get the most effort out of nofap!
You don't need to do it alone!

I wish you lots of luck!

First of all, forget you know what "addiction" is for a moment.

Let me tell you there is no such thing.

People PMO because they like it. End of story. People drink or take drugs because they like to feel intoxicated.

You don't like the side effects though, now do ya, eh??

So you have to change the part of you that wants it. You have to change your perception of it. Because lemme tell ya it's a hell of a challenge trying to stop doing something you enjoy doing.

Conquering your own mind is the most challenging thing you can do. Now you don't need to be a Jedi master to quit PMO it could be as simple as being repulsed by it.

Or just forget what I said and go back to fighting an "addiction".
