Hello... I am so glad I found you

    Hello all,

    I was introduced to porn when I was 12... That's 24 years ago! I've spent more than two thirds of my life viewing it,but it was just recently that I suspected I was addicted and things were going out of control. I'm sure I've been in a bad place much longer than this.

    Despite the porn, I am in love and married to the woman of my dreams. But I find my habits affect my relationship... Both in the bedroom and in our life in general.

    I do not want my life to continue like this. With God's help and your support, I want to abstain from porn and masturbation for the rest of my life. I want to be the best man I can be for my wife.

    I look forward to virtually meeting you all over the course of this journey!

    Thanks D.J. and Ghengis for making me feel welcome :) And thank you for the links to the guides. It is good to know what to expect on this journey.

    My current strategy is to limit my access to the internet when I am alone, although I have to work out the details of how I am going to accomplish that. I suppose going to bed early would help. To replace it with another activity, I want to work out for 30-40 minutes a day as well, as I have previously found that exercise helps me get off my backside and even after exercise, I am usually inspired to work on other physical activities away from my electronic devices.
