    Welcome! I'm glad you're here.

I can't say how long it takes to "reboot." Everyone here is a pioneer in this. But what I can tell you, from experience, is that as you get further away from porn and masturbation, things do level out. Everything still works just fine, but you're letting your body regulate itself, as it knows how to do, as opposed to abusing it.

That business about masturbation relaxing you is kind of silly, to be honest. Lots of things will relax you. Take a hot shower or a bath; that'll relax you! Have a cup of tea. That'll relax you!

I hope you keep coming back.

  3. Assalam o alaikum brother . My suggestion are following :
    1) pray regularly and Ask Allah Almighty for help.
    2) Keep your mind clean of any thoughts about women
    3) Keep yourself busy in productive things
    4) Whenever you experience urge to watch dirty stuff or masturbate ! Don't try to fight the urge . just distract yourself and do / think something positive as human mind can't focus on two things at the same time
    5) Don't fantasize .
    6) Lower your gaze.
    7) Don't stay alone .
    8) Try to control your thoughts.
    9) Try to spend time with good people who discourage vulgarity and indecency.
    10) Try to take control of your thoughts , Be vigilant about your thoughts .
    11) Make your life disciplined.
Hopefully if you follow above suggestion you will be successful. May Allah cure us from this addiction . If you want any help you can inbox any time .

@HARP thank you for bring me here.

Welcome my dear brother!! I pray Allah makes this journey easy for us and grants us goodness in this life and the next. And brother don't worry about your English, it's good mashallah. :D

Some of of my points may be the same as @AhmD (great tips btw ),no harm in a little depth I guess :p
But let's get started. So I believe I'm currently on my 255th day no P and 19th day no MO. Some tips that really helped me.
    1) Join the Muslim fapstronots group.
    https://www.nofap.com/forum/index.php?groups/muslim-fapstronauts.5/extra&type=information
    2) if you ever need an AP (accountability partner) or someone just to talk to, Id honestly be more than happy to help

3)keep yourself occupied and busy. Don't even give it a chance, don't look at haram. Don't even fantasise it will only trigger you to a relapse. If you do feel like you might relapse, play a sport, go to the gym or even just come here and let things off your chest.
4)pray 5 times a day everyday and on the thought of relapsing remember Allah knows what you do. Read the azaan, pray a surah anything until the urge goes. I found this works best.

Good luck Bro, I personally overcame P because of my best friend telling me these things "You're watching someone smash a girl YOU find attractive?...that's kinda pathetic" and "Imagine how you'd feel if someone degraded your mother, sister or future wife like that" as well "Even though those actors may not respect themselves, it doesn't mean you should too. Control yourself and be a gentleman" lastly she said "Imagine how your future wife would feel if she knew you looked at other women aside from her like that"
Since those words came from a woman,it kinda hit hard. I mean Ive not relapsed with P since ages.

I'll remember you in my duas, so stay strong Bro! And remember anytime you need any help or feel like relapsing feel free to come here, I'm sure anyone of us would be more than happy to help.
