How Has PMO Affected Your Listening and Viewing Choices?

I haven't seen a thread on this yet, but wanted to ask others who've had a deep pmo addiction, how do you feel it's affected the type of music you've listened to and movies/shows you've watched? As my addiction to pmo grew deeper, I noticed the music I listened to got heavier and more extreme, going from radio rock, to metal, metalcore, deathcore, deathmetal and eventually grindcore, black metal and brutal death metal.

I've never been an angry person and have never been in a fight, nor will I ever unless it's to defend myself or a loved one, yet the music I was listening to was just pure hatred and anger. When I told people what type of music I listened to they just gave me weird looks and were like, no way, your so nice and quiet. When my sister heard what I was listening to she was terrified! Ever since I've started working out a lot more and have eased off the pmo since July and made it a goal of mine to completely quit pmo I've naturally found myself happier and have zero desire to listen to that garbage and have since deleted 90% of it from my music library. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I also found myself gaining more interest in horror movies around the same time, but mostly the torture style ones, such as Saw. I don't know why but they just drew me in like crazy. Now I honestly could care less about most horror movies.

It could all be connect by my loneliness, as the music may have been my way showing my frustration with everyday life and having social anxiety, but looking back I can connect the dots with music choices and pmo habits.

I may be overthinking this too as I'm known to do, haha.

Yea I don't know man. I avoid hypersexualized content because it's unnecessary in my opinion. Aside from that, nothing else has changed for me. Especially with music. As far as shows and movies are concerned, I used to love them containing graphic nudity, but these days I find you can totally have a great show or movie with no nudity what so ever. It's just tasteless in my opinion.

PMO related activities typically had music, but it was not of my choosing and not of my liking. I believe some of the music choice I chose to endure may result in nightmares. In a sense it sort of turned me off of music. I am an introvert when it comes to music (I don't need much of it and a little bit goes a long way, much like social interactions) and I simply didn't experience it very often outside of porn. Funny you mention it, this month one of my stated goals is to occasionally listen to music (music that I get to pick!).

As far as I can tell, PMO did not impact what 'types' of movies I like to watch. I doubt I'll ever like romance or comedy but nearly anything else has always been fair game. One thing I did notice is that I could watch TV shows (like Spartacus) with a lot of nudity and I could actually pay attention to the storyline without being bothered by the clothing that wasn't there. Strangely that is almost the exact opposite of objectifying women. I mean sure they were reasonably hot, but I had better a few clicks away and I did pay attention to the quality of the overall acting.
