I don't know how these group forums work.

Everyday I feel like there is a void in my life, I feel empty.

I feel unholy with my sins, I feel like a demon, I do stupid things.

I don't know how Jesus works. I have asked him to come into my life in the past, to come in my life but nothing happens. I have asked him alot of times.

I read the bible everyday but I just don't seem to relate to it.

I need to switch this off.

I know how you feel because I feel the same too. God has done greater things in my life but I still look porn. I did everything I can, but I still slave and still masturbate, it makes me depressed, I cry in my prayers but still addict. I believe that one day he will deliver us

Stop asking Him to come into your life! He already wants in!

The bible says If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

That's how He comes into your life. Have you announced that He is Lord? Do you believe God raised Him from the dead? If so, then you are saved.

That means you will not pay for your sins, but will go to heaven because He has paid for your crimes against God. When you say nothing happens, what you mean is, you can't tell the difference.

And that is ok. The whole primary point is not for you to tell a difference, but to know that you will not go to hell.

As for doing stupid things, it is up to you to learn what Jesus wants from you, and gain the self control to stop acting like a demon. Christ will help you, but He will rarely do it without your active participation. I do suggest setting aside some time to pray and fast.

  4. Any church will help you out. Just walk in, attend the service then after talk to the preacher/pastor/priest and tell him what you're looking for.

  5. The majority of Spiritual Life is discipline. It's not some kind of psychedelic experience, where things just magically happen. You have to be in awe of the Creation, number one, in other words have a reverence for God, the Creator, and then seek out (this is an action) His ways, His wisdom and guidance. His ways don't satisfy the flesh, they satisfy the Spirit. We have to rise above human physical and emotional suffering, and Christ is the ULTIMATE example of this. If you want Christ to enter in, you better be prepared for battle against the devil my friend!

Don't expect a grand answer from the Lord when you ask for something; I learned that the heard way. As for how you feel, I know exactly what you are going through. I have never needed to question my beliefs, but rather I questioned my worthiness to God. I felt like he was disappointed in me every time I did PMO. I didn't think he hated me, but rather just was frustrated with me; and sometimes I felt like I needed to hate myself for him to show my repentance. It wasn't until recently that I learned that feeling of sorrow and despair wasn't me, it was the Devil. It's not just about getting us to watch porn he is after; it's actually what happens after we watch it is the biggest part of the plan. The feeling of despair and unworthiness is what he is after the most. All sin is the same in the eyes of God and PMO is no different. If you truly want to give your life to Jesus, then you must start by repenting your sins without feeling unworthy. You should feel sorry and regret it, but also you shouldn't let it get to you either. Think of it like falling down and God reaching out to pick you up, all you have to do is keep walking and not look back beyond your repentance. Trust in Jesus and endure in his name.

I know this was posted quite some time ago, but wanted to share this.

Faith without works is dead.. What this means to me is if I am not inviting Jesus into my life daily and taking action in tangible ways (praying, helping others wherever possible, & trying to grow closer to him in other forms (such as the video above)) then I am way to caught up with myself, my feelings, and my wants and needs to recognize the Lord who is already in my heart.

Find a nice comfortable place, maybe in nature or wherever you see best fit and listen to this. It's changed my perspective on the Lord, and always brings me back to a better place when listening. I wish you the best and a Merry Christmas!

When I first became a Christian I had a very simple revelation that would help me understand God, myself, humanity and the world a lot better.

It's summed up in three things.

    1. Church.
    2. Bible.
    3. Prayer.

It sounds like you're reading the Bible and praying a bit too but perhaps you need more involvement in your local Church, the people there will be a great help in showing you how the Bible can change your life.

There are two areas where I feel stuck at.

    1) Jesus was risen from the dead.
    2) I am worthy of forgiveness.

I don't know how to get around that.

Well you aren't alone. None of the disciples believed Jesus raised from the dead at first either, and they'd actually seen Him raise other people from the dead. They had to see Him alive with their own eyes before they would believe. But after that they all went to their graves preaching His resurrection, even when it meant they'd be killed if they didn't change their minds. God raised people from the dead in both the old and new testaments. If God exists, He can and has raised the dead. Doing it for His own Son isn't hard for Him. Make no mistake, there is no logical reason why Jesus couldn't be raised from the dead just like He told His disciples He would be. In the end it requires for you to decide to believe that when Jesus said He would be raised from the dead, He wasn't wrong and He wasn't lying. Have the faith to take Him at His word. Let go of your doubts.

You don't have to get around that. You aren't worthy of forgiveness. Drink that down and own it. If you deserved to be forgiven, it wouldn't be forgiveness, it would be justice. His death on the cross for you is not something you could ever deserve. He had every right to let you die in your sins. Your thoughts are ugly and your lifestyle is offensive to Him. The only reason you have any hope at all is because He loves you more than you could ever deserve.

He is bigger than death and He is bigger than your doubts. Surrender yourself to Him. Let Him have you and heal you.

To the first point: Why do you have a hard time believing that? If God can create the entire world out of nothing surely he can raise someone from the dead. Plus, if there is no resurrection of the dead, then when we die that would be the end for all of us and I'd see no point in really believing in God at all.

To the second point: You are worthy. You are a child of God created in his image. Remember we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. You are not alone. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says that no temptation has overcome you that is not common to man. No matter what you have done, other people have done the same exact thing. Remember that if you accept Christ as your Savior you are a new creation. God will give you the Holy Spirit and initiate change in your life, which is a process and will take time. We will never be perfect this side of heaven, but we will be in heaven where we will see Jesus face to face.

  17. First mistake... Dont wait for Jesus.

Sir, you see that void in you? That one you notice? It is in every single one.

But, that is where he belongs.

I'll explain in a second. But this dude @thewrestler profile pic has the answer.

A man was lost, with burden to bear. At night he lay his head on stone and slept beneath the stars *seeking* hope. He had a fleeting dream of an angel, but the angel was ascending to Heaven. So he grabbed the angel by the robe, and wrestled with him till day break. Until the Sun rose and he was blessed.
The angel struggled and tried to escape and finally had to paralyze the young man before breaking free.

But for keeping the faith he blessed him.

That mans name was Israel. He fought for his faith.

Its always dark before the dawn.
To fill that void. That darkness that is definitely there and swallows all of us...

.. open A bible... read only the first 3 words and know it begins right there.

Yeh I have problems figuring out what to do but just keep trying. Do not let go of that desire that got you started here. Think of what your grateful for. You a Christian? Be grateful for that. You got food to eat? Be grateful for that. You a young man? Be grateful for all the people you are going to help by being successful and sharing that with them.
