I wasn't super specific, but I said I had an addiction I was deeply ashamed of and I was working hard on putting an end to it. It was super hard, and I was literally shaking and crying (just like the meme) the whole time I was messaging them, but in the end, they supported me, and it helped us grow closer together. I was really scared that they would reject me, or think lower of me, but they said "[OP], we love you, and also you're a superstar. You can do anything you set your mind to." That made my day.
I’m glad you have supportive friends!! I’m sure that’ll help you feel more comfortable in asking them for their help or advice in the future too! Maybe they’ll motivate you and check on you periodically too!
