    I'm torn on this one.

The act of intentionally looking at porn or provacative material is suspect, however, I can see how it could be used to serve its purpose.

I was diagnosed with PTSD almost 10 years ago. One of the many symptoms was anxiety and a severe need to isolate. A recommended treatment was called "prolonged exposure therapy". This consisted of exposing myself to the exact thing I was attempting to avoid. It actually worked very well. Now, if I find myself in a place where I recognize I am trying to avoid others and shut myself off I will go and read a book in a busy coffee shop or a busy waiting room and it will pop me out of that mind frame. (just not fucking Wal-Mart, say NO to fucking Wal-Mart).

The OP is correct, you cannot really ever get away from triggers. Just seeing woman on the street was a trigger for me, if I go to Pirate Bay to download something there is an ad on the side with girls that always throws my trigger instinct into a spin. There has to be a point where you realize you are the issue and not the explicit material. The material is just an object or person outside of yourself that has no bearing on your actions. The issue is with you, how you respond and how you conduct yourself based on what you've encountered.

So is the "test" good? Thats on the perspective of the individual. I would agree it can be dangerous. Is the OP "cured"....meh, thats a little more suspect, but if his actions are helping him reinforce whatever his mind needs to reinforce to avoid the Fap it isnt a negative in my eyes. Just dont be surprised if the reinforcement leads to a relapse either. Its a slippery slope.

Theres a reason alcoholics dont hang out in bars.

153 Days since I won my battle against porn. I have been tested in so many ways, both intentional and unintentional, that I can claim myself cured.

Maybe one of the biggest benefits of my system, is that I regained the natural appreciation of the naked human body. The ability to appreciate nudity without sexualization truly opened a new viewport on life and culture.

I'm thankful to the fact that I don't need stay away from something that is truly natural.

Clarification: I'm not consuming any pornographic or erotic material, i'm not masterbating, I do have lots of sex, and I talk freely about my former habit.

Guys, he's thirty. If your more than ten years younger than him it's a totally different story than us, and we really have no place in telling him he's not rebooted and he's delusional.

We're here on nofap so that we can stop manifesting our mental energy into the fighting of compulsive urges that draw us to do self depreciating behaviors that negatively impact our lives. Our man eye tree, is going on with his life, leaving the past in the past. Through his experience it sounds like he's grown tremendously and come so far along the way, that he is not fazed but an incredibly tantalizing situation that would have all of us jizz our pants. He's above that.

We don't know his full story. A reboot is not a cookie cutter. There is no right, no wrong.

Sounds to me like he was incredibly honest. props bruh! How you've cognitively restructured your brain is inspiring. I'm still operating on a pretty over sexualized world view, placing too much weight into my self concept, judgement of others, and role in life from a warped view that consistant porn viewing can cause. It's topsy tervy but I'm making progress toward reducing and changing this.

All I gotta say, as don't be too enraptured in your thinking that your safe and in the clear, one is always skirting the line of regressing into old thought habits, behaviors, and ways of thinking be you on day 1 or 1000. You sound like you've got a solid understanding of that.

Everyday is an opportunity to go down or up! With your riskay lifestyle dear god, sounds like the cards are stacked against you, however, who am I to judge! Best of luck brotha

Cheers man! May we one day get to we're you are now!

Hey. I apologize for speculating on trolling. It's not my place to judge or speculate on things I have no idea about. What the hell do I know. This is a safe forum and my post was not especially productive.
