I'm starting my NOFAP life

    --> I was trying to figure out the patterns that usually lead me to a relapse. Here are my findings:-
    • Working too hard with my studies and pushing my mind to it's limits. It makes me more stressful and hence tries to find some relaxation. Since PMO has been my habit to get away from stress, I get hijacked and lead to relapse.
    • Staying awake till late night. I should say that I use a lot of my brain everyday coding and learning some research stuff. So, I get really exhausted mentally and physically. This demands a good amount of sleep from me. But, the problem is I'm not satisfied with anything I do and keep doing something to stay awake. I feel sleep but I couldn't sleep most of the time. I reach a point where I just want to escape from this and eventually relapse.
    • Some erotic pics on the internet. This is less likely to lead me into relapse. But, it did sometimes.
    • Taking my smartphone along while I'm in the loo. I start with opening my browser on the phone and eventually end up having PMO.
    --> These are things I'm gonna try when I encounter those patterns:-
    • Trying to be honest with myself that I cannot go beyond certain point however hard I may try.
    • Taking little breaks to keep out my stress. May be a little walk or talking to a friend.
    • Going to sleep as early as possible. (at least by 11pm)
    • If I ever get hard by some pics on the internet, I'll try to remember my girl friend's face. (because I promised her I'd quit and I can never cheat her for she is most kind and loving; If I'm gonna cheat her again by relapsing then I may not even be able to talk to her with guilt)
    --> Some habits I'm going to inculcate to replace PMO:-
    • I'll fresh my self up and have breakfast immediately after waking up from bed. (I'm saying this because usually I'm too lazy to wake up to have breakfast; So, I wake up late and suppress my hunger till Lunch; Sometimes, this lead me to relapse as well.)
    • Meditate for a minimum of 10 mins in a day. I think meditation restores my strength which I had lost through PMO.
    • Involve more with people. I will try to discuss my problems with people and get help from them. This will surely fill the emptiness in my heart.
    • I shall keep myself and my surroundings in a clean way. I shall devote some of time in the day to keep things in my room in order.
    --> Long term goals I want to achieve:-
    • Publish a research paper on the topic I'm currently working on.
    • Increase my percentage in college. (I want to reach 80%)
    • See myself enjoying life without PMO.
    --> Short term goal:-
    • Do my weekly reports well at the college.
    • Achieve hard mode for 90 days.

    I masturbated while in the bathroom. I was not thinking of any porn related stuff. I just went inside to shit and this happened. May be due to my old habit of fapping in the bathroom has lead me into this.

    I must replace that habit with something else. I used to play games in my mobile while in the bathroom. Maybe that would keep my hands off from fapping.

    So, I will need to do this for a while until the old habit fades away.

    Any comments?:)

    I don't need to.
    I am more self controlled than ever now. I'm practicing meditation and few other exercises too. Feeling controlled and joyful than ever.
