I have an active sexual life, but I started to have some problems months ago in my sex life and a part of them are due to PM. My goal now is to improve in my relationship as a lover, so I decided to quit PM.

 

I will wager that many of the guys on this site have had or currently have active real sex lives. I'm married and had a sexual life with my wife. But that waned as my PMO addiction increased and took over. Eventually, the sexual relationship disappeared but we are still intimate. One of the things I am working on in recovery is to restart that sexual relationship with her, but I have to be honest that it's more difficult than you might think.

Real sex with a woman is 1000 times better but not always available for many reasons. If you are hory and need an outlet PMO fills that void. To some PMO is a form of self medication to deal with other problems in their lives.

My problem was when I was having sex with a real girl, I was thinking of porn girls to sustain an erection. It was disgusting and shameful as I couldn't get myself erect despite the fact that my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend) was good in bed.

 

What makes you think so? You probably have some misconceptions of what sex really is but like you said, you haven't experienced it and thus you can't tell. Generally speaking, it's always rather difficult to judge how you'd feel about something when you haven't experienced it. E.g. some people say they aren't jealous and once they are put in certain situation, they are.

In other words, don't think about this. You'll see how you feel once you've experienced it.

 

No we didn't breakup because of the sex. It was for other reasons mainly the fact that our goals, idea of happiness in life etc. were very incompatible with each other and our relationship wouldn't have worked.
