As soon as I became aware of the negative effects of pornography on the human mind, I have endeavored to create what I consider the ultimate "Defense network" against it. It was not easy. No worthwhile task is. Creating your own prison is a unique challenge when you're aware of every step you take. The solution was simple: I had to think of everything I could.

Enter the "Inner Haven" project: As close as I can create to an always monitored, deeply vetted web "net" that covers as many angles and access points to the most prevalent drug of the twenty first century. It consists of the following components:

-A "gutted" version of firefox that cannot access inprivate browsing
    - No other web browsers or access to download said web browsers
    - A seismic block list of pornographic websites and social media websites I dislike, password protected.
    - Light modifications to Windows 10 to deny access to the in-built app store and the ability to delete files without consequence.

I have only designed this for windows 10. If you are not running said OS, you'll have to take what I've gathered here and improvise. I'm sure it can be done.

I have succeeded on all fronts, and will give you the tools to replicate my success. First step, securing the browser:

    1. Download Firefox if you already haven't. It helps if you open an account with them.
    2. Follow the instructions listed very closely in this article: https://www.alphr.com/disable-private-browsing-firefox/
    3. Once you've successfully eliminated Inprivate browsing, go to the firefox extension/add-on/plugin store (Hit CTRL + shift + A) and download the following apps:

"Block Site" and "Distractmenot" (Note: There are numerous extra porn filters and blockers available through here, and I doubt they'd do much harm to add, I'm just sticking with what I know here).

The two plugins I suggested act as the "Hammer and Nail" for this plan- Block site destroys websites at the root, while "Distractmenot" can pluck certain sections of websites to prevent access. This'll come into play later.

    4. Now, for the Blocksite bit. I don't want to risk giving just anyone access to a monolithic list of pornographic material and getting the mods on my ass, so the .json file containing said list will be made available upon request. Hit me up in the comments or send me a DM.

4.5: Once you've acquired the file, you'll need to hunt down the section of the "Block Site" plugin settings that says something akin to "upload .json file". Upload what I've given you, and it should be good to go. You might need someone else to set up a password though, so be advised.

NOW, FULL DISCLOSURE: This blocklist includes the following social media: Reddit, Twitter, Deviantart, Instagram, Tumblr and its spinoffs, and quite a bit more.

Everything short of Facebook and Youtube is on it. If you don't want those blocked, then I do not have a solution for you. You may be able to edit the .json file to unmatch those websites, but that's your prerogative.

    5. Presuming that all worked, it's time to use "Distractmenot". Open it up and make sure it's on blacklist mode. Put the following (Alongside any others you might think of) in the blacklist:

    https://www.google.com/intl/en_au/chrome/

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge

What this does is allows you access to google and microsoft's websites, but not the links that allow you to download their browsers. Make sure you set a password for this one too, and also make doubly sure that you've activated the setting that prevents access to the plugins section without a password. Obviously, you'll need someone else to set a password up for that.

In part 2, I'll be detailing the methods for uninstalling microsoft edge in windows 10, the store app in windows ten, securing and encrypting files to prevent deletion without catastrophic damage, and whatever else I forgot to detail here.

If you got through all of that, thanks for reading. I'll check back over the coming days for your questions and requests!

you must use your computer a lot. a solution for me was just never touching or opening my personal laptop.

still, that didn't really matter because I still had my smartphone. I like what you did, although im not sure if you did this but it would be good to add a Blocklist for porn that is regularly updated (without you having to manually update or look at).

I use nextdns for my phone and it blocks porn, and I can force all sites and search engines to use safe browsing. i also blocked pretty much all social media. I would block Snapchat but my friends still use it a lot. Snapchat has a section that is pretty much all hot girl clickbait crap. I tried specifically blocking it but it doesn't seem possible without breaking the messaging part of the app.

anyways! good job! it's good to have precautions and roadblocks that help prevent thoughtless relapse. of course, addicts can be pretty cunning and find ways to find porn even with the most advanced blocking.

Yeah, by necessity I have to be on my computer for long intervals, and I didn't think to shop around for a DNS until I was right in the thick of it. As for the smart phone, I just ditched it outright. And I mentioned before that there are an abundance of filters available through the plugins bit, but I'm the type that gives 110% to whatever he does, regardless of the consequences to my sanity. I also had to sidestep a lot of "safe browsing" modes (regrettably) because I need access to a lot of information, and the filters a lot of these companies set up are more "blankets" than "garments" if that makes sense.

Alright, time for part 2: Everything else.

First off was getting rid of the Microsoft store launcher. No point going to all that effort if I can just skip over to the store app and get involved with my downfall again.

This article walked me through it pretty well: https://lazyadmin.nl/it/uninstall-microsoft-store-and-default-apps/

It did take a few tries, but that got solved real nice. Next step was to ensure I couldn't use the built-in edge browser on Windows 10. Truth be told, I forgot how on Earth I neutralized it, but there is another workaround that I found: Download the "Lockbox" app (link below) and then encrypt that. Easier than it sounds.

First off, the app itself: https://download.cnet.com/My-Lockbox/3000-2144_4-10789387.html

All you have to do is move the edge files themselves into the lockbox app and then have someone else secure it with a password.

Now, to add some metaphorical concrete. There are a couple of ways to prevent a file being deleted or to encrypt said file, and I'll link them in order of personal usefulness:

    https://www.tunesbro.com/prevent-file-folder-being-deleted.html

    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-accidental-uninstall-apps-start-menu-windows-10

^For the above, if youre running Windows 10 "Home" edition, you'll want to use the link below tho make it run effectively:

    https://www.itechtics.com/enable-gpedit-windows-10-home/

And last but not least, I downloaded a free "Screen recording" client to send my browsing history to my accountability partner. Since I don't know how to delete that at a PC level without causing some serious issues, there's nowhere for me to hide, and more importantly, no point in doing so.

As I stated in the first half, if you have questions or you need that .json file, just let me know and I'll hook you up. Thanks for reading!

I can easily bypass this and have already tried this before .I could access many p websites . I have better and simpler way to block p websites . I use the proxy server 127.0.0.1 :80 , this blocks all websites and in the bypass list I enter the websites I don't want to be blocked . Now I disable settings using group policy(admin rights required ) so I don't change the proxy settings . Now I lock the admin password . I also delete Microsoft store using Powershell . Now whatever apps or browsers you have you can't watch p without admin password.
