I have been clean for almost 2 years, haven't watched or visited any sites. However I still get all kinds of spam emails from porn sites every day. Is it normal to still get these spam emails years after quitting porn?
Pormography is a business since you were their customer for years they are trying to get back you.I don't think its normal .Have you checked what times of mail they are senting?
What do you mean? And if it's not normal then why am I getting these emails daily for years after quitting? They're not from the actual porn sites they're from spam sites but titled like nude pics, hot singles, affair hookup, meet me, etc...
Did you try to unsubscribe. I don't know why you are receiving these emails but I am sure its not normal. Below ever email ( if you are using gmail) there's an option for unsubscribe if this didn't help can you screen shot one?
That also happens to me, but i have gmail, so everything goes to the "spam" section. I'm pretty sure when you use your email account for, perhaps, an account on a porn site, it gets shared around. Even if the porn website itself forgot your email, you would still get spam from everywhere else. So my advice: if you have gmail, it should go to the spam section. If not ... i don't know if you can stop it, without creating a new email account.
You don't even have to be their costumer, they send out millions of spam mails to aquire new costumers or to break people into falling for them. I use gmail as well and have been using spam email addresses for years now. Sign up with one of them, and if after some time you don't get unwanted spam, change the adress in their database to you real email account. Other that that this is a plague.
Thanks for the tips on how to sign up for porn sites. I knew that eventually I will find some useful advice on this website. God bless you sir.
Lol god damn it. Time to get my whip and chastise myself a few times I suppose. (But seriously, I wasn't just thinking of porn spam but more spam in general. You're right, though.)
Unfortunately if you've ever given your e-mail address to a porn site, then you've opened yourself up to having your information shared with all of the other sites that they're affiliated with and so forth. The only way to really stop this or reduce the amount of spam you get would be to create a new e-mail address.
