Job seeking effected

  1. I am sure to an extent, the addicts are all affected by their habits and it messes up work. But I've been thinking. Perhaps I have crossed the line. Back in Uni, the addiction would get in the way of submitting assignments. Now that I have graduated, it is affecting my job process. When I have to give a test or present, I relapse before them. The lack of sleep and prep effects my outcome. :( I have lost 2 good opportunities.

When I don't have those stages with a company or am waiting for a response, I'm not spending the time working to upskill. This may seem trivial and perhaps even unqualified for this thread, please excuse. I don't understand it. I don't know how much would count as excessive M., whats there is, is destroying me.

I have not even discussed how it affects my perception of interacting with co-workers. I feel afraid I might bring the topic of P up at work. I want to isolate to avoid such fictitious fears.

I HIGHLY recommend getting yourself to an SA group meeting, getting a sponsor, and most importantly, get yourself some accountability to help yourself stop! There are plenty of tools & resources to help fight this addiction, but you have to choose to use them and fight this addiction! It won't ever just go away on its own. You have to work and fight to make it happen!

Part of the problem with porn is that it replaces all desire and drive for real life. I'm sure there are scientific reasons why. But everyone has experienced this in some form or another. It's most infamous form is pied. Men who can't get up for women because they've watched too much porn. What's happening here is that you can't get up for life for that some reason. You need to quit obviously. You wouldn't be here if you didn't already know that. But it's not easy. NO one realizes how bad "P" is until you've started to negatively affect your life and your future. But it's never too late to improve yourself. You've recognized the problem. Now it's time to do something about it.
