I used to have a job where I would talk to a bunch of senior citizen customers. They were regular customers that I would see on a regular basis. Since I was lonely and they were lonely I enjoyed it. Of course we became just casual friends but It actually was enjoyable.
I used to work in a psychiatric hospital. I requested to work on the elderly people's ward. I loved it. Even though they were very ill, I had some fascinating conversations with them. They all have their unique story of life, which is enthralling. Young people have very little to say of interest, especially when they have been masturbating to porn for most of the time!
I find in my work elderly people are always happy to talk and have very interesting things to share. Whereas quite a few of the 30-40 year olds are total arse holes and barely say hello lol. And when you help a elderly person they are truly thankful but when you help a middle aged person, quite often they don't acknowledge the help.
