Mindset Tip for Rebooting

While I am still in the phase of rebooting, I have adapted a mindset that has helped me not only with quitting porn addiction but also my overall outlook on life.

Focus on you and only you, no one else is coming to save you. While you still have responsibilities to look after others that matter to you, you do not have the imperative to spend your time dwelling on the expectations, judgements and ignorant comments of others. In the same bracket comes fantasizing, past regrets or future projections; these people you make stories in your head aren't coming to save you, you are simply deluding yourself in thinking you can get back with them or hoping that you'll get with them someday. Even if you did end up getting what you wanted from them, you are still at the mercy of others, placing them on a higher ladder than you. Either or fantasizing does absolutely nothing for you.

I choose to break free from this enslavement of the mind, I am in control of my own life and no one else has the right to dictate where it should go. You are the master of your own life and so don't waste any time focusing on others and rather redirect that energy internally. You'll get to see just like how I did that focusing on yourself brings a greater meaning and honor into your life and no one nor anything can take that away from you, not even your addiction.

 

I'm with you on that. It is not our job to save the world nor is it the world's job to save us. Be kind and virtuous but don't go around saving other people before saving yourself first.
