Day 3 monk mode. No games, movies, Internet, porn, masturbating, social media etc - essentially no stimulus at all except that of from real life events.

Today I downloaded an app called "moment" to track my internet time. On average I might spend 1 hour on my phone through the entire day which includes work, commuting so it's not too bad. Usually the first week is really tough with NoFap alone but because I'm determined to tackle all my addictions I will keep this going. At the moment I'm 20 yo have quit smoking, drinking and now I pretty much just use up my time with my morning rituals, meditation and soon + work and a lot of other activities I have planned.

Going to keep everyone posted here about how I am going hopefully to inspire others with my progress as I go on.

Big key though: I recently went to an addict recovery meeting to see what they might have to offer in terms of knowledge. What I came across was baffling. There are seriously people right now suffering in ways you cannot even fathom. I suggest anyone to go to and addictions recovery meeting if there is one close to you to get a real shocker to your system if you think nofap is tough. Just listening to people who have gotten clean from heroin and all sorts of fucked up drugs and are changing their lives everyday even though they have the heavy weight of such intense addictions. It just shits on fap. We really have it easy guys. And if your sitting at home not doing anything like I was I advise you to go to a meeting near you, it's also good to get shit off your chest, learn about your addiction, listen to others non judgementally and be apart of a supportive group.

On the topic; what really got me into monk mode was as I went into NoFap I became more and more aware of the small things I used to cover up my negative emotions. The substance of addiction is irrelevant if you are using something to run away from a problem that problem will only stay and compound over time no matter how long you run for. Today though I challenge someone reading this to the next time he/she feels the obligation to pick up their phone to burn time at a bus stop or check the time during an awkward silence, whatever it is for you. Refrain from doing that and stay with the feeling you are running away from. Keep doing this every day and over time you will become more and comfortable with yourself. Adios

That is very strong move. I hope you make it as long as needed. I thought about it too but maybe in near future i will try it. I cut also PMO,video games and stupid youtube movies but cant resist from internet and reading all the time. Im sure after that mode, adding also good habbits you gain very much.
