Hi guys! So, i`ve been absent for some time now, and that`s not because of the lack of interest or anything like that, but because i was busy with work and dealing with that awful flatline.

When i first started my no-PMO life-style i didn`t really never knew what to expect, and i was very happy within weeks my mental health improved. But, little did i know, that was just the start. It`s been 2months ( and still counting ) of ups and downs. I know understand what people meant as in the flatlining being like a "rollercoaster ".

As you already know, as i mention in the title of this topic, i want to talk about the important mistakes done by some people who consider/try nofap.
The reason i want to do this is because i often hear along side with the succes stories, the "fail stories", where there`s a lot of complaining, criticism, and negativity towards nofap.

    So, here it goes...

    1. Comparing yourself to others

You see a lot of guys here on the forum asking other dudes how long will it take before they see the benefits. And the answers is no one knows ! We`re not the same. Each individual is different.
It depends on so many factors : how frequent did you masturbated ( some did it daily, others even several times a day) , how long were your masturbating sessions ? few minutes ? half an hour ? what age did you started the addiction ? have you started your sex life ?
And not only your habits of porn, but also medical conditions, weight, if you`re in good physical shape ( some have better stamina than others ) etc.
All of these play an important role in how long your healing process will take.

    2. Rushing the process

Another very big mistake is wanting to speed up the process in order to get the desired results faster.
This is kinda like the 1st one.
If you want to start NoFap , you need PATIENCE !! and lots of it ! From i`ve read on other testimonials, you should not expect a full recovery up until 90 days ! And that`s just the least amount of time, so it can take even longer than that!

Some guys who suffer the so called "dead dick syndrome" may want to check out and see if "little jimmy" is still working. Don`t do that ! Edging and even fantasizing will get you right back to where you started ! I`ve noticed that even when i fantasize, my anxiety comes back with a vengance after a couple of minutes :(
So, don`t test yourself to see if you can get hard.
    Accept the flatline !

    3. The way they perceive relapsing

Like i said in one of my previous posts, mistakes are not failures. You can learn more from your mistakes and grow strong from that experience.
Don`t be judgemental on yourself if you do relapse, as if it were the end of the world.

    4. Nofap alone isn`t enough !

NoFap is just a bad habbit that you kicked off.
Just like goodness isn`t just the absence of evil, health isn`t the absence of illness.
You don`t need just to lose the bad habbits, but also add some healthy habbits like eating right, sleeping and getting enough rest, drink lots of water, exercise, and so on ...
If you`re doing nofap, but you got also other addictions and bad habbits ( videogames, gambling, alcohol smoking ) , unhealthy life-styles ( staying up all night, eating junk food, stress in your relationships ) then don`t blame that on nofap. Nofap is just a step ! It won`t make your other problems magically go away, but it will be more healthy for you to not be addicted to porn.
