Never give up on the climb out. The Dark Knight Rises

Rewatching this scene gave me chills again.





It is so relatable for many of us dealing with compulsive addictive behavior.

Stuck in a dark abyss,

trying over and over to climb out,

failing time after time,

relegated to despair and misery in darkness,

in a dry, forsaken desert with no sign of life,

with others in the same hole,

yet so isolated at the same time.





But when we make those leaps that stick,

and make it ever so slightly higher in our climb,

our brethren cheer us on,

and hope sparks among us all.



The best part of the scene is when, after he climbs out, we see the realization on one of the men's faces







"It is possible."




It is the same with us on here.

Seeing another success story,

another man climb out,


another man who drops the "rope",

which is another piece of wisdom and advice,




renews our strength,

and sparks hope.






This is possible.
