    Hello all,

    Happy new year!

What are the best 3 tips you can give from your own experience?

I am new to the forums. I tried to beat porn before without a support group, but I encountered some relapses, specifically during high stressful situations.

    Hope to hear from you,

    Thank you

  2. Welcome! Here are my three tips:

    1. Identify your triggers - we use PMO to escape uncomfortable life situations. The most common triggers are boredom, loneliness, anger, stress, tiredness, or depression. Once you identify the reasons behind your relapses, you can find ways to overcome PMO by dealing with those difficulties in a healthier way.

    2. Tell some close to you about your addiction. Addiction thrives on secrecy. When you tell someone close to you, it is empowering because you are no longer hiding it.

    3. Follow and support others here on this site. I have learned a lot by following others and taking their successes and trying to follow suit. Also, it helps build your confidence when you’re trying to support other people who are facing the same challenges as yourself.

I would recommend checking in daily and starting a journal in the logs section.

    Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your time writing these tips.

I know the first one, but the 2nd and 3rd seem very important. I am thinking of whom I can share this with, maybe someone of my old friends. Let us see.

I wish you the best. Thanks again!

Hi, welcome! I'm glad you're fighting the battle
    Mine would be:
    1. Confession. Talking about your addiction to your closest/loved ones.
    2. Take care of your body. The less your love your body the less you gonna take care of your mind..The connection of soul, body and mind is very real so if you don't take care of your body and neglect it you won't mind hurting your mind either.
    3. Take this addiction seriously. Like, use blockers, this site, your AP, workout to really fight it. Get out the confort zone!

    One day at a time!
