I do love Noam Chomsky and I appreciate that you posted this since I'm always interested to hear what he has to say … but as a gay man, this whole line of argument seems a little funny. That is, you rarely if ever hear about the participants of gay p as being victims of the industry. Or the straight men in straight p as being victims. It's like, we grant men the power to consent but not women. There's a weird double standard here. I also don't really see the comparison between sweat shops and p.

I'm mean certainly, in straight p there's a lot of deliberate degradation of women - and it's very very ugly. But p seems more like a symptom than a cause. I could be wrong here.

I don't know, also this whole political/ideological approach that comes up here at nofap seems a little suspect to me. I guess I just can't help but compare it to Alcoholics Anonymous. No one in AA really talks about alcohol as a social problem. It's all about our relationship to it. Certainly alcohol is a social problem an one that should be addressed by society, but there's just something a little victimy, to me, about a pmo addict jumping to the conclusion that he/she needs a sociological context to recover. Or, maybe that they're jumping the gun a little?
