Benefits of NoFap? My experience in kicking a bad habit has been that it's very useful to get clear on the benefits, keep the consequences in focus and move toward the benefits.

    Lower back pain:
I read about this in another post. I've experienced decreasing trauma in my lower back with NoFap. Doing fap in a chair has to be the worst thing ever for the spine.

    Better sleep:
Losing the fap compulsion may do something to stabilize the chemistry of the brain and body. May seem counterintuitive in that fap can exhaust one to sleep. Stabilization is better.

    Clear thinking:
Purging the dross of porn obsession leaves a lot of room to focus on more constructive things.

...NoFap doesn't solve all your problems, it solves the problem of wasting your time with porn and masturbation. If you want to solve other problems they need to be addressed and worked on individually, but... the skills gained from dealing with NoFap become valuable in other areas.

  4. You can also see it in reverse: When you are committed to your goals, then you will not PMO. This comes automatically.

For me, PMO is a way to escape. I PMO whenever a decision is near. Or when I am in doubt. Or rhen I am in fear. Or when I don't have no clear plans, no clear goals, no clue.

But WHEN I do have clear goals, and when I follow them, then I do not PMO. And every PMO-free phase was always the best time in my life.

This is why I have learned not to to focus on "NoFap" - I focus on GOALS, instead.
