NoFap fail after five days, round two. Insomia problem?

    Im not going to take advantage of my failure and tell myself one more time sense im back at the start anyway. Today is day one and im still feeling upbeat. From the streak before the fap. Not as much but still far better then before

    Last night however i couldnt sleep, was edging and i stoped myself but it still all came out even though i switched my thoughts But i admit as soon as i did i felt a little releived that j i got instantly tired and could get some sleep, so this time no edging


    Not sure about the lack of sleep though i take meletonin and it doesnt help. Maybe a no fapper needs a higher dosage.

    I talked to a girl on the bus today, i didnt come off very well i was planning to just ask what shes up to but then lowered it down to asking for a cigarette. oh well just proves I need more confidence and to just ask what feels natural.

    I have the exact same problem, just made my own thread about this haha.

    Well I have decided fuck this. The hardest/biggest enemy for me is just when going to sleep. I´m like you, you take a fap and then you fall asleep.

    My view point is this. I´m gonna do this nofap thing. If I dont get to sleep today becouse these urges, then fuck it. Next night im going to be so fucking tired i´m gonna get to sleep then.
    On days I just activate myself when the urges strikes, but when you want to sleep you dont want to activate your self... you want to sleep. Never the less my only advice is to activate your self, you cant sleep anyways. So when this happens again, I´m going to go up, watch some video on nofap, go to this forum. And then after 30min or something im gonna try to sleep again.

    I know that this moment is the biggest risk for me to relapse, and fuck relapsing! So until I get a better advice thats what I will do from now on. If I learn something else I will let you know :)

    I can relate with this completely.

    One thing that I have found that helps me a lot is to read before going to bed.
    I have tried tiring myself out watching videos on youtube, sleeping on my stomach, sleeping with pants on, trying to regulate my sleeping schedule, etc.

    But the only thing that seemed to help was reading before bed.

    On the flipside, doing absolutely anything in the computer seems to make my insomnia problem increasingly more severe. The best night's sleep that I had was when I started leaving my laptop at work, which I plan to start doing again once I finish a few projects that urgently need doing because of my procrastination.
    Same goes for my smartphone. It had the same effect on my insomnia as my laptop.
