OK so I tried my best in the fist shoot and lasted one weak and relapsed since then.

I can't express how sick I feel about myself.
From today I start over with 5 promises for a new beginning, this time i plan to reach tow weeks and longer.

    1. No PMO
    2. No smoking
    3. Eat healthier
    4. Keep working out
    5. Study harder

I hope the last 3 will replace the first and the second, I hope that I still have a clear mind to avoid what's harming me and to exchange it with a healthy lifestyle.

Love you guys, wish me luck

I feel you man. I tried the 7 day challenge and relapsed on the 4th day. I'm trying to pick up the pieces and try again. I'm not going to put a day amount on it. I'm just going to make it one moment to the next I think. I do okay going one or two days but then it's so easy for me to forget that this is really a HUGE PROBLEM! (sorry for yelling, just trying to remember it's a problem for me).

I stopped smoking last year. That was so hard. It was before I was aware that this is such a big issue for me. Every time I wanted a smoke I would just lay down in bed. I spent several mornings in bed. I would get up exercise and lay back down. I started out doing a smoke every 2 hours, then 4, then I was down to 4 or 5 a day. Finally got down to one a day and wanted 24 hours without it. Took a leap of faith and made. It's painful though.

I'm afraid pmo is going to be more painful than stopping smoking for me. Maybe I'm just scared of life. Good luck on your goals.

I have managed to quit smoking for 5 years, and I will safely say that in the short run smoking is harder, but in the long run PMO is much more difficult.

That being said, abstinence is much more difficult from PMO. it's an going on process, seeing as our libido is constantly driving our judgment, and instincts... PMO will always be in the back of our minds. Our judgments through time become easier, rationalizing our decisions to not relapse.

After a 1 year... It was extremely easy to say NO to smoking, but with PMO a lot of life decisions, and obstacles can potentially trigger a relapse. Always need to be prepared.

this is my second run at nofap after 10 months free of porn... I ended up taking a bad turn in my life, and fapped to PMO 2 months straight. Now I'm back at square root all over again.

Hmm...I don't see you at ground zero 10 month is a FUCKING Miracle! Me personally I more familiar with A.A. yes with use day last drank but some meetings don't. At this time for me day by day seems good. All those months seem scary plus my ego would explode.

Right let's stop it there as that thinking is not going to help you at all. Love, compassion and patience and a simple belief no matter how many times I try I will not give up.

Secondly your list sounds good but is it not too much? Keep the focus on not PMO and let the rest fall into place. When I'm not in addiction then I want more sweet stuff to compensate so just look at that list and think what is most important. You could buy less cigs or get an e-cig and make better food choices but don't try and do this and not smoke and eat salads as if you fail on one of them and feel bad then what will you consider doing? Slowly does it

Thanks everybody, I appreciate your support so much.

You know, in a certain moment in my life i realized that you have many kinds of paths you can take in life. We leave in free countries which is a blessing but on the other hand it comes with the responsibility to choose carefully your decisions, they will end up shaping you.

The effects of porn is all around us if we want it or not. It's designed to be very addictive but yet no one will tell you to stay away from porn like they tell you to not smoke, but without a doubt porn's effect on us is horrible.

    Trigger!!
I remember for the first years I watch porn that I hated those close-up on the genitalia and I always searched for the connection between man and woman. Not a physical but the emotional connection.

I'm sure that if we keep ourself away from PMO, this first instinct of wanting to connect with a woman in emotional way will come back, and for me it's all about this.

    Have a great day guys

@kk76 I guess in a way you are right but I feel like I need a total change.
My life is in a point that I really disappointed of myself and I need those healthy behaviors instead of the harming behaviors that I mentioned.

It's mainly about doing the things I feel I should do, to actually live the way I believe is right.

    Thanks for the advice man

You don't need to do any of them but just stay away from the PMO, that is number one, the rest introduce slowly. Want to eat better then don't bring chocolate home, if I want it then I have to go out and buy it and that gives me time to think do I actually want it?

The word should is an awful word as you are setting yourself up to fail. I should do this or I shouldn't do that. Who decided what you should and shouldn't do.

    Try and cut down smoking
    Eat a bit better

    but stay off the PMO
