There's a trend I'm seeing as I spend more time on NoFap. Broadly categorised there seems to be two groups of people: Those who have just started their reboot like me and those who have made significant progress in their recovery. But the attitudes of both groups are sometimes similar. With regards to those who have made significant progress I'm referring to those who have hit a flat-line. What I am seeing is this: The perceptions you have about yourselves in both groups are warped. To the guys who are just starting, you worry and fret about your urges thinking there's something wrong with you for having intense sexual desire. To the guys who are flat-lining you think there is something wrong with you because of your lack of sexual desire or because you're feeling depressed. I ask you this, why are you making these judgments about yourself? Why are you so obsessed with what's wrong with you? Be obsessed with what is RIGHT about you. Addictions of any sort are rooted in shame and to get out of them you have to start changing the way you see yourself. So be kind to yourself and remember that the only constant is change. You won't always be happy but sadness never persists eternally either. And say to yourself everyday, 'I won't always be a porn addict. I'm here now making my recovery real.' The other key thing to do is to live as if you've already beaten porn for good. Live your dreams, get out the house and talk to that cute girl.

You can do this! Be strong! Stay clean!
