Owner of webcam studio says guys who send models money are being exploited

    I came across this on the IAmA subreddit were an owner of studio welcomed questions.

    One of the questions was:
    Do you ever feel exploitative in using the desperation of women from a poverty ridden country to your financial gain? Or is this mended by the fact that you pay them?

    His response was:
    If this was some sort of job that the girls were doing as a last resort, to have something to eat. Luckily its not. The majority of the girls are single mums from lower to middle class families who need a flexible job with flexible hours. They could work 48 hours a week in a supermarket or a call centre and get paid half what they make here. Instead they work half the time, double the money and have more time with their kids. If you ask me, the real people being exploited are some of the guys who send through $100 to jack off (I´m not complaining, and neither do they, as its pretty cheap for customised porn to their liking.)

    The guy is trying to sell his side.
    It is not ok to put women in front a camera doing sexual things and being threated like an object.
    Even if you don't intensionally disrespect the women the mere fact that you are paying her money and she is exposing her body is a complete dehumanisation.. That is not how socialy healthy people interact.
    It is not how relationships between human behings are ment to be.
    He is pretending that he is doing them a favour when he is clearly exploiting human beings.

    I am speaking but i understand the difficulty of resisting urges and rationalizing things when you as a man get into that kind of stuff. As he says man are victims too here.

    So fuck that guy and any other that is doing this kind of shit. It is evil and makes everyone involved sufer one way or another.

    I dont really agree with it either. But if a woman wants to do that kind of work.and is fine with it, thats her decision. She should be free to do so. Some women like exposing themselves, and some women actually enjoy sex believe it or not. There are women that expose themselves for free because they like it. There are women that will gladly have sex with you for free, just because they enjoy it. So if they want to do those things for money.... why not! Its there life. Sure there are situations where women are used and dehumanized but thats not always the case.
