  1. Just finished watching Shawshank Redemption for the first time. My boy, it's a great movie that has a lot of connection to how we who struggle with PMO feel. A story and long journey of hopelessness while trying to find hope and freedom.
Two men were let free from prison.

Brooks (50 years prison) and Red (40 years prison) who both struggle severely to live in the outside world. Fear fills their soul, and have difficulties coping.
In no way am I suggesting what Brooks did to himself is right - it's to show how real his pain was - we have the NoFap Community which is very united and as one, may you have struggles beyond your capacity then reach out to the community, someone is always there to listen.
Being in prison was their normal.

PMO is our prison - the internal prison that no one sees.

When PMO is in your life it becomes your normal, it is your reality just as real as one in prison. Some serve 3 years, some serve 10, and some serve just as many as Brooks or Red or even longer.

Freedom means a new life, a new life means change, change means adjusting to a new life and a world unseen. Imagine being happily married, to hold hands with her/him, to make friends, to reach your dreams, to do hobbies, to go places you've always wanted, to ultimately be happy and in peace.

I've personally been addicted to PMO for more than 1/2 my life. I estimate my time in this prison has been 14 years. In prison since I was 9 or so and am 23 now. PMO has taken my my childhood, teenage years, and trying to compromise my adulthood. I've always been told what to do and never being my own person - PMO took that from me, it took about 14 years of my life.

I am trying to stand up for my freedom, and I understand it won't be easy leaving behind what is normal to me - but no life is good in a prison.

  2. You've got this man. Everyone deserves freedom and no matter how long it takes it is achievable for every single soul. You gotta fight but oh is it worth it!

  8. I have the same feelings, but the first step is just to forgive yourself and accept it...otherwise we will face ourselves inevitably complaining which won't be usful at all.
