Question about 'rebooting.'

    I'm 14 days into a 90 day rebooting quest.

    The night before last my wife and I made love. This is actually something to celebrate because our marriage struggles -- even before she learned that porn was still a struggle for me -- have resulted in very little sexual intimacy. There was closeness and connection here that was very welcome and healing for us, in the light of how angry she has been due to my disclosure about my continued use of porn.

    But I don't know what this does to my reboot? I'm still free of porn and masturbation, but I did orgasm with her. Maybe someone can help me with the official stance on rebooting -- if there is one. Must it, by definition include no sexual activity of any kind for 90 days? Or can it be 90 days no PM?

    Whatever the definition I am happy to be porn free for 14 days, and happy that my wife is willing to open herself to continued connection with me -- which I deeply believe will be central to my overall healing.

    Hello Taodude! I was reading on the site last night (I am new to NoFap) and found their description that every reboot is different person to person and even time to time within each person. You choose what reboot style is best for you, and you can definitely benefit from PM-mode; no M or resulting O while watching P. When the viewing of P is what is causing you the distress, by abstaining from it exclusively by not engaging in M or edging (M without the O) you are breaking yourself free of your P habit/addiction. I am going 30 days on PM-mode myself. & have good on you for the intimacy between you and your beloved :) Hope this helps!

    It is your choice @Taodude. No sexual activity of any kind is called 'hard mode'. But if you want to continue intimacy with you wife you can still reboot. Just be aware that it will take a little longer than total abstinence that's all. Congratulations on two weeks without masturbation or porn. Keep it up! :)
