Reboot or Masculinity Detox?

I told my SO that I was undergoing a masculinity detox to realign and increase testosterone levels in my body.

She completely related to the word "detox" and it caused no issues. Indeed she took the news positively. She liked the sound of the increased testosterone. I did not mention anything about PMO.

In terms of duration I explained a bit about the process - that there is a flat-line, similar to the healing reactions that often occur during fasting & detox, although it can last much longer - and one indication that the process is working or nearing completion is that I may start to experience wet dreams.

I just wonder if anyone else had a similar experience. I do worry that the word "rebooting" sounds unrelatable to a woman and may raise more questions than it answers. A male detox seems to work just as well, if not better.

I like to think of the first time you reboot as a "purge" given the withdrawal symptoms and after that more a reset than reboot.

Purge is how I look at it too.
  4. Why do you believe the word "rebooting" sounds unrealtable to women? Are you sure you're not just rationalizing your decision to disguise/hide your reboot from your SO?

You really don't have to call it anything. I feel like you're putting more focus into what you want to call it than explaining what you're actually trying to accomplish.

  6. Excellent point. I agree. It doesn’t matter what you call it. The results matter more. Semantics doesn’t. She will understand it if she loves you.

Why not do a PM detox only?
  8. @Plutonium If you wanna get into full semantics, if you say "Masculinity detox" doesn't that imply "less masculinity"?
