I did do a search on this and I know it's not considered a relapse by most of the community.

I've been clean for over 13 days now, feeling awesome about it. But I was going through some photos online suddenly saw a nude photo. Now i closed the window immediately (within 2-3 seconds of realizing what it was), but I've been feeling guilty. I know technically I shouldn't reset my counter, but some feedback would give me more assurance.

I wouldn't reset it. You only saw it a moment. I know if I see something I feel like that too, but you just have to dust yourself off and forget about it. A least it didn't cause you to relapse.

I saw something on Facebook the other day and started chasing but I stopped myself after a minute. You feel like you fed your addiction a small treat...

  3. You should turn yourself in, dude. That's a Class A felony, seeing a nude.

Please feel reassured. It can happen when least expected on the web. It's not your fault. The same thing happened to me three weeks ago, but it was film of a subject fapping. I immediately looked away. I didn't relapse, and I certainly didn't reset my counter because of something so momentary and unintentional.

You'll constantly see things throughout your day that can lead you to tempting places. Unintentionally seeing something like that is inevitable. Our media is very sexualised - even overhearing a conversation might trigger you. The important thing is how you respond. In this case, you did exactly the right thing, so well done!

One caveat however. I have to wonder what kind of photos you were going through online to come across a nude one. If you're feeling guilty because you were browsing something you think you probably shouldn't have been, then that's a relapse. If it was purely unintentional, then it's not.
