I do sometimes pray the stations of the cross and I really want to try and do it more. What I am sharing below is not the prayers but it is an edit from the film "The Passion of the Christ". I have been watching this every day this week before I pray my Rosary.
I have lead such a sinful life. I am so thankful for Gods sacrifice, love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. Watching this just floors me every time. Mother of sorrows pray for all of us here, pray for us all trying to leave behind this life of sin. Amen
Amen, brother! The Passion movie I believe was a huge gift from God, to us, during these dark times; an aid to help us remember His love for the Father and their love for us. The same for Our Blessed Mother who gave her Son for our redemption. I don’t know if you pray it, but one of the promises given by Our Lady of Sorrows regarding devotion to her sorrows is to help those who suffer with addiction. Promises to St. Bridget: According to St. Bridget of Sweden, seven promises were made to those who meditate on Our Lady’s Tears and Sorrows. The Blessed Virgin grants seven graces to the souls who honour her daily by saying seven Hail Marys while meditating on her tears and Sorrows. These are: 1. I will grant peace to their families. 2. They will be enlightened about the Divine Mysteries. 3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work. 4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the adorable will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls. 5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives. 6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death - they will see the face of their mother. 7. I have obtained this grace from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and Sorrows will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation and joy. -------------------------------- To Marie Claire of Kibeho, Rwanda regarding the Seven Sorrows Rosary: * With the recitation of Seven Sorrows Rosary, the hardest hearts shall change, if you pray it for yourself or for others. * By the recitation of the Seven Sorrows Rosary, you shall be freed from obsessions and addictions. * This rosary when said from the heart, it will win us true repentance of our sins and free our souls from guilt and remorse. * Those who say it often, especially as recommended by Our Lady to Marie Claire, on Tuesdays and Fridays, shall obtain clear understanding of their weaknesses and flaws causing them to sin and those things we don’t like about ourselves and thought were a part of our character, shall change. * You shall obtain whatever you ask for through this rosary, praying this rosary from the heart. * More than ever, the world needs the Seven Sorrows Rosary.
I prayed it for the first time yesterday. Thanks for sharing this. I had not seen this before, this will encourage me to pray it more often. I think I will try and pray this daily too, I will see how I get on. I will need to get a bit more organized and maybe up a bit earlier.
