What's the most effective way to STOP porn addiction?

I tried different methods over the course of several years but failed.

Completely banning porn from my life forever with access to internet seems impossible.

It seems that every relapse i made over the course of several years made my porn addiction actually stronger.

Hmmm - "Making it stronger" - is it me or am i trying to trick my brain to think the addiction is stronger so i have another excuse to NOT quit porn?

Why is my brain playing tricks on me? Why does this porn addiction feels shittier than ever before after more than 10 years porn use? How long have i been a porn addict? I don't even know... Probably somewhere around 14 - 16... And how old am i now? 28.

So now after all these years i say to myself: why did this porn addiction enter my life? It destroyed my life! My whole youth! I don't even look like a real man. I feel like i'm not at my full potential. I'm constantly being milked like a cow. All the energy escaping my body leaving me feeling worthless :(.

Porn addiction is stealing my manhood away from me and destroyed my whole manhood in the most important years of my life. I feel like i have a useless life filled up with horrible experiences now. My situation is so shitty right now because of this.

So shitty that it's destroying my life and i can't do nothing about it. I am powerless.

Cue exposure desensitization. I wrote about it but people dismiss it.

  3. In life you start with nothing and you have to earn and take what you believe you deserve, by hard work, perseverance and endurance.
You mistakenly assume that you deserve the best without doing anything. And that all the best things you deserve are being stolen by some "evil" force and therefor you do not have them.
This a good example of mind games, lies people tell themselves, so they do not need to immediately face depression that comes with need for change.
Something is sucking all the good stuff out of my life - how horrible, how unfair.

People who train and exercise; build up endurance, they feel great in daily lives. However, the moment they stop exercising, they begin to loose muscle tone, health, and endurance they built.
They do not cry that their bodies fall apart in to weakness if they do not exercise, "how unfair" they go and begin to exercise, because they know those benefits need to be earned.

If you are not working on improving your life - it will fall apart, your health will fall apart, you brain will fall apart.
Everything falls apart if no effort is made to improve and maintain. It is fundamental law of the universe called entropy, not pornography.

You are destroying your life my friend, its about time you realized that.

I realized that for quite some time now. But i keep relapsing and the addiction grows stronger through the years. The relapses keep hitting harder and the actual addiction feels unlike ever before. Which is why i'm picking the addiction over taking action and quitting forever.

MOST IMPORTANT STEPS ON THE PATH TO PERMANENT RECOVERY (KEYS)

    1. NEED, WANT, SEEK:

NEED -> Realization you need to change, because you are stuck in a loop, seeking behavior that always has negative consequences.
WANT -> You really need to have strong reason why you want to change.
SEEK -> Be open to everything… learn, learn, learn. Join recovery group (forum or live).

    2. KEYS:

1st DIET & EXERCISE -> far the most important key. Regular exercise helps with depression, anxiety, makes your body healthy
2nd DEAL WITH THE PAIN FROM YOUR PAST -> Eckart Tolle: "Every Addiction starts with pain and ends with pain." Gabor Mate:" Not why the addiction, but why the pain."
You need to resolve it or you've done nothing and you will always be one step away from relapse.
3rd GRATITUDE -> Your brain will rewire itself to positivity if you train it no matter how FU you are right now and you will again become the the person you deserve to be. The best version of yourself you can possibly be at a given moment.

Don't limit yourself, seek improvement every day. To achieve all this you'll need determination, self-discipline and consistency.

The problem with porn addiction is that, in my opinion, there is no specific way to end your addiction, everyone might have a way that only works for him/her. Of course there are common methods such as spending less time on the internet and having goal in life, but from my experience they are not enough. I was able to stop for 6 months but relapsed afterwards. I can say that how long you stop is not important, what is important is the consistency with the way that works for you and NEVER think that it's over even if you stop for 2 consecutive years
