    Hi Fellow NoFappers,

Good news, NoFap does work! I recently posted a testimonial in the success stories section about my journey thus far.

    To sum up my story:
After experiencing an almost spontaneous orgasm, I've tested to see if I can start masturbating again (on occasion, maybe once a week) through MO, without any fantasy. While I found that my body underwent a complete sexual transformation, performing like a 16 year old again, there are plenty of negative after-effects still present... some familiar, and some brand-new to me. Most disturbingly, I've had a dull headache that came-on about 10 minutes after orgasm (yesterday). It's still there, but not nearly as severe as it was yesterday. That's never happened to me before. I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this before, or have heard of it happening?

    First some more background:
My goals for NF were to sever Pornography and lustful thoughts from my life, regain healthy sexual functionality, and to be able to MO on rare occasion without fantasy or negative repercussions.

After about 150 days or so of NF on mostly hard-mode (I had intercourse a few times 1 month in), I started coming out of a 4 month long flat-line period. I was extremely horny... and everything was back to better than normal downstairs... with extremely hard erections coming on at the slightest turn-on, and morning wood constantly occurring again.

I ended up having one orgasm about two weeks ago, nearly triggered by about 1 and a half hours of lying in bed, unable to sleep due to being spontaneously turned-on. I couldn't help but give in and see it to fruition. Anyways, I thought that this was a positive sign that I was fully "cured" if you will, from a 12-year PMO addiction, leading to ED and orgasmic dysfunction. I don't recall much of a headache afterwards, as I drifted off to sleep soon after. If I did have one, it was already gone by morning. I was a bit groggier than normal, but that's about it.

So, yesterday afternoon, when faced with another similar bout of horniness (think "Spring Fever" levels), I decided that it would be a good time to "test" things to see how I would respond with some MO. Initially, I felt deeply relaxed and fulfilled. It was very much a great sensation. After only 10 or 15 minutes, I started to feel a bit "foggy", and a dull constant headache started to grow. It wasn't very severe... just enough to be pretty darn annoying.
I made the mistake of giving into curiosity and MO'd one more time a few hours later, which caused the headache to dissipate for a bit... yet it came right back again after about 10 minutes. The added orgasm in such close proximity probably didn't help things at all.
It's persisted since then, and has gotten a bit less severe over the course of the last two days. Furthermore, I've been slightly groggy, and have had a few "cravings" today to MO, albeit not as severe as they were back in the day of being addicted to PMO. Plus, there wasn't any P involved, thankfully.

Also, I'm something of a special case, so to speak, as I take two medications- Brintellix (a new type of antidepressant that works on several different receptors, activated by several neurotransmitters), and Adderall XR. So, those do add to the complexity of the neurochemical soup that's now present in my brain after having an orgasm for the first time in months.

It's funny, because I think the Brintellix may be partially responsible, but I can't quite be certain. It reminds me of when I started taking the medication. I had headaches of a similar intensity and form for about 6 weeks, on and off.
Also, it's worth mentioning, that both SSRI's and SNRI's that I've taken (both to which Brintellix is somewhat related), give me odd sexual side effects... which I've heard from a urologist were sometimes experienced. They'vfe always given me delayed orgasms, and some genital numbness. In the last two years, they've caused (this is going to be candid) spontaneous semen leakage after urinating, when I haven't ejaculated in a while. In a sense, this is actually nice for NF, as it does relieve some of the "pent up" feeling many experience.

Any of this sound familiar to anyone?

As far as a solution, I'm thinking of going back on the NF for a few more months... maybe longer. Perhaps I'm just not ready yet. Either way, the cravings that came back today scared me enough to want to get back on board, headaches or not.

And that brings up another good question, without using MO, how exactly do we know when we're "healed"? I've never seen a straightforward answer to this question.... perhaps because there isn't one.

Would love to hear your thoughts on that!

    Best wishes on your Journey,

    RLL
