    Hi everyone

This is a slightly embarrassing problem and I wasn't quite sure where to post my question. I am a week in to my 90 day Reboot challenge, so obviously early days. One of the motivations for starting this journey were the loss of sensitivity and delayed ejaculation problems, which don't seem to be too uncommon from reading other people's posts.

However, a more embarrassing problem for me is the permanent bruising on my penis, both on the top and underside - clearly the result of 20 years of death grip. You can make a clear thumbprint out on my foreskin. I think I've had it since my early 20s (now mid 30s), probably exacerbated when I had a period of medication-induced impotence, and until now I've just accepted it.

My wife has never asked any questions (we've been together this entire time), but I'm sure she has noticed. I think I might have said in the past that it was from when I MO during or at the end of sex (often because I have PMO'd just beforehand), so maybe that's why she hasn't said anything.

I'm wondering whether anyone has had similar bruising from PMI? And, if so, have you found it disappeared over time? Any ideas how long it might take, if at all? I would love for my penis to be mark-free, but I don't want to be disappointed if it doesn't happen.

    Thanks in advance.

While I may have had some temporary small tearing of skin, usually when I haven't fapped for a while and the skin has softened and has become more subject to injury, I have never had any permanent markings or anything that looked like a thumbprint. I cannot be sure, but I imagine that if the marking hasn't faded in months or years, that it's probably a permanent mark. But, why be embarrassed if it's just a matter for you and your wife to see, and she doesn't seem to care.

Thanks @JoeinMD, you make a really good point about not really needing to feel embarrassed. Noone else is going to see it and, you're right, my wife doesn't seem all that fussed.

I guess there has always been a small fear that my wife would start to ask questions, but the embarrassment I describe comes more from it being a constant reminder of how much time I have sat at my laptop jerking it. That and having a damn thumbprint on my penis! I guess if I can succeed with my PMO challenge then that alone should make me feel a little better about myself.

    Thanks again.
