I think it‘s completely fine listening to music. Maybe we have high dopamine while listening, but I mean we don‘t lose any energy (like by doing PMO), instead we earn more energy..

Absolutely it is fine listening to music, it soothes the mind it puts it into a relaxed state. In fact this could be a strategy of when your tempted instead of reaching for the mouse, reach for the headphones and go outside and walk or jog or run while listening to music. Great idea spartan

well maybe try listening when you have nothing else going on, if your mind pre occupied with lyrics it can't think of porn right?

Music is the true artform, it's so powerful for both pleasure and therapy/healing. I advocate music for most any situation. but it does have to be the right music to allow space in your mind to focus, or to drift away and not overthink. Try listening to some ambient music, or positive, uplifting stuff with lyrics. A lot of modern pop music is very sexualised (as are the music videos), so perhaps there are certain genres or styles that might be best to avoid. If you search for ambient, new-wave, electronica genres, you get far less lyrics, and more poignant and positive undertones - i'd be happy to recommend specific artists or albums if you're stuck :)

Music can be really helpful or really problematic! Be aware on what type of music you listen to and what's the message behind it. Imo just avoid lyrics about sex / videoclips with that sort of content
