Thoughts on Zanax going through flatline

Discussion in 'Rebooting - Porn Addiction Recovery' started by ZenPool, Feb 9, 2017.

  1. I don't believe you read my response. Maybe you should read it again since I'm not advocating we blindly trust doctors. Likewise I will not trust blindly the ramblings of a 14 yr old. I don't think we have anything more to say to each other since this has already gone way off topic, which I blame myself for that.

@ZenPool If you decide to go the xanny route then I hope it helps you. I say try it out and if it doesn't help then ditch it and go back to the drawing board.

  2. Hey not all doctors tell PMO is healthy, there are several doctors out there who say the opposite, especially the ones that know about adrenal fatigue
Trust yourself. And God. Your body is awesome and will recover if you read its manual on morality.
    Take care

The question is: how do you get to decide what kind of prescription drug you take? Where do you get this stuff if not from a licensed therapist who knows what he's doing? None of these things should be played around with by yourself and used as some kind of self-medication. Plus, I don't think it's very helpful to combat NoFap withdrawal symptoms with any kind of chemicals. NoFap is about giving your brain a chance to rewire itself and regulate its reaction to natural stimuli (i.e. dopamine) in a natural way. Can't you see how counter-productive a chemical prescription drug is to that process? I'm a little bit of a hypocrite for saying the following, but please go and see a therapist if you aren't already.

Hey man. How did this work out for you? Am starting exactly on the same journey. Been napping since I'm 13. I'm currently 34. Been fighting PMO since I'm 29 and although my life is a lot better, I've yet to quit the habit. I've also not had a relationship with someone I'm in love with. so, that healthy sexual energy escape has not been there.

I experience the same thing when doing nofap. For me, it was a whole load of suppressed emotions that surfaced upon starting nofap.
Zanax simply replaces the function that fapping has, numbing your emotions. Its better to face them than to run away from them.

Crying helped me alot. As did talking about whatever bothered to a trusted friend. Writing your feelings down is another option. But dont ignore them.

Anyway, perhaps youre experiecing a burnout? Too many things on your plate? NoFap doesnt turn you into superman unfortunately.
