    Hello fellow fapstronauts,

I have dabbled with the idea of abstaining from PMO for a couple years, but it seems that I always fall back to my old habits. I am an 18 year old college student, finals week is coming up, and I want to go into the summer with serious momentum. I want to change my life. I have been masturbating since I was 11 years old, quit for a couple of years, puberty kicks in, and I don't think I have had a year since I was 14 that I have not masturbated for 15 days within the span of a year.

These I state only to reveal what will someday be what I will call the "old me." I am in the honors program at my college, but I seem to always be teetering with getting kicked out of the program (which provides a sizable scholarship which allows me to go to school without financial burden). This is only due to lack of discipline, sleeping through classes mainly. I no longer can get by through pure intelligence, I now need to have discipline.

After finals week, I will go back home to Michigan (I go to college in Virginia), and I have a construction job lined up when I get back. I think this will be good, because I will be forced to work with a schedule once again, and I will be outside all day, performing strenuous physical labor installing fences and decks.

So I decide to begin the journey towards purifying my mind and my body tonight. I want to stop objectifying women, I desire to release the intense amount of hate that I hold, and I hope to start living a regret-free life. I am looking for a network that can provide support and tips, and I will do the same in return. I am not sure how much of this works, but I am here to learn and to make changes.

Kelly has great book on the subject. She says that will power is the best predictor of academic success and in life as a whole. I recommend No Excuses by Brian Tracy as well.
