I've been watching House of Cards, and sex scenes are kind of frequent in it. I haven't even gotten a hard on from it, nor do I allow myself to fantasize about it or even look at it fully.

I want to know if this kind of thing will hold me back on my reboot. Should I avoid this kind of thing? Is it wiring my brain for failure?

If I need to, I will stop watching tv altogether. I'll do anything to succeed. Looking forward to seeing your replies! Thanks!

I avoid TV altogether. I just came in my room because my roommate just started watching tv actually haha. I just want the cleanest reboot possible. Perhaps you may feel the same. I say avoid it.

I do feel the same to an extent! But at the same time, I've been putting almost all my energy and focus toward my goals lately, time included. And sometimes its nice to relax and watch an episode of a show I'm watching before bed. Hmmm

Well, just recognize that if you are trying to quit PMO, watching people "have sex" on a show may not be the wisest idea. You know what is best for you however.

Good work on the 12 days! Stay focused my friend

I don't think sex scene on regular TV are bad for people, unlike porn, but if it causes an addict to relapse, it is certainly bad for an addict.

I just finished watching "True Detective", it has sex scenes as well. But during this scenes, I look away!

In such tempting situations I usually apply the Three-Second Rule which involves three steps : AAA, Alert, Avert and Affirm. Which I learned from the book "The Porn Circuit- Covenant Eyes".
    1. Alert: Realize that you see something inappropriate. It may only take a split-second to recognize a tempting situation.
    2. Avert: Close your eyes or look away. These first two steps should be instantaneous.
    3. Affirm: Give yourself a mental high-five to congratulate the effort. Say to yourself, “I saw that by mistake, and I quickly looked away. I’ve been clean for (enter number of days) and I’m going to stay that way.”

I believe as long as you can keep your self focused on your goal, I don't think it will cause you to relapse! After all, Game of Thrones is coming this weekend and I don't want to miss it because of some sexual scenes, I believe I can control my self;)
